  • Patent number: 8714144
Abstract: A system and related methods for interchanging barrels on a gun and packaging such components is described herein. Preferably, the system includes a barrel having a first end, a second end, and a shaft between the first end and the second end. In one embodiment, the barrel includes a clamping screw notch and a barrel indexing surface formed on the shaft. The system further includes a breech block having a barrel housing formed therein having a first end, a second end, and a hollow core therebetween for receiving the barrel, and an indexing pin positioned to engage the barrel indexing surface upon receipt of the barrel through the barrel housing. The first end of the barrel housing is adapted to engage the receiver of the gun. The second end of the barrel housing includes a clamp and a clamping screw orifice formed therein for receiving a clamping screw.

  • Patent number: 8695576
Abstract: The present invention describes a slingshot apparatus having a pouch or similar type device, and/or wrist support/brace that is capable of temporarily retaining an object prior to launching the object. The slingshot assembly preferably includes a frame member, a pouch, and energy-storing and releasing members acting between the frame member and the pouch. In one embodiment, the pouch and/or wrist support preferably includes a magnetic force element capable of attracting an object to the pouch prior to launch of the object or projectile by the slingshot apparatus. Alternatively, the object to be launched includes a magnetic force element capable of attracting the pouch and/or wrist support prior to launch of the object by the slingshot apparatus. Related methods are described.

  • Patent number: 6775940
Abstract: A safety device for use with a toy guns, less-lethal guns (such as non-powdered guns) and lethal guns detects motion of the gun, and causes light emitting diodes or other light sources incorporated into the gun to prominently flash. The flashing light sources alert bystanders in a way that distinguishes lethal firearms from toy guns and less-lethal guns. The flashing diodes can also be activated when the gun is armed, cocked or otherwise ready to be fired. Motion is detected through the use of an electric circuit that includes a spring, an oscillating mass, and a ring adapted to surround the oscillating mass.
