  • Publication number: 20230068108
Abstract: A composition is formulated in a therapeutic amount to maintain and promote hair health and growth in a human in need thereof. The composition may comprise a shelf stable, supercritical CO2 fluid extracted, enhanced lipidosterolic extract of Serenoa repens (LSESr). The enhanced LSESr may have a ratio of free fatty acids to total fatty acids that is greater than about 80.0% and an enrichment of lauric, myristic, oleic and linoleic acids as free fatty acids to total free fatty acids that is greater than about 82.0%. An enrichment of linoleic and linolenic acids together may be greater than about 3.7%.

  • Publication number: 20230060769
Abstract: A dietary supplement composition is formulated in a therapeutic amount to maintain and promote urinary and prostate function in a human. The composition includes a shelf stable, supercritical CO2 fluid extracted, enhanced lipidosterolic extract of Serenoa repens (LSESr). The enhanced LSESr has a ratio of free fatty acids to total fatty acids that is greater than about 80.0% and an enrichment of lauric, myristic, oleic and linoleic acids as free fatty acids to total free fatty acids that is greater than about 82.0%.

  • Publication number: 20230054414
Abstract: A dietary supplement composition includes a shelf stable, supercritical CO2 fluid extracted, enhanced lipidosterolic extract of Serenoa repens (LSESr) having about an enrichment of lauric, myristic, oleic and linoleic free fatty acids to total free fatty acids greater than about 82.0% and a ratio of free fatty acids to total fatty acids greater than about 80.0%. A method of making the enhanced LSESr includes subjecting aged saw palmetto powder to supercritical CO2 extraction followed by first and second separations.

  • Patent number: 5389393
Abstract: A dry mix for producing a quick-setting gel which has a texture which is as desirable as gelatin gels. The mix contains as components agglomerated potassium or sodium alginate, agglomerated calcium salt, sweetening agents, food acids, buffering agents and preferably anti-oxidant. The sweetening agents can be sugars, intensive sweeteners and/or hydrolyzed starches.

  • Patent number: 4871398
Abstract: A continuous process for producing agglomerated spray-dried, pregelatinized starch wherein two or more spray-cook nozzles are aligned in a drying tower such that their spray patterns intersect. The point of intersection is distant enough from the nozzles to avoid globbing or clumping and close enough to the nozzles so that the surface of the particles are tacky enough to effect adhesion and a build-up of agglomerates.
