Patent number: 11898377Abstract: A gang lock for an article of furniture capable of simultaneously locking and unlocking a plurality of drawers and doors. The gang lock has a single locking mechanism operable to move a drawer lock bar to lock/unlock one or more drawers and a door lock bar to lock/unlock one or more doors. The lock mechanism is coupled to the drawer lock bar so that operation of the lock mechanism causes movement of the drawer lock bar. The drawer lock bar and the door lock bar are coupled together by a linkage so that movement of the drawer lock bar causes movement of the door lock bar. The drawer lock bar may be oriented vertically and the door lock bar may be oriented horizontally. The linkage may include a cam and cam follower to translate vertical movement of the drawer lock bar into horizontal movement of the door lock bar.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2021Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: Industrial Woodworking CorporationInventor: Lawrence W. Patent number: 11641950Abstract: A height adjustable bassinet with two height adjustable columns and associated assist cylinders. The bassinet includes a height adjustment assembly to operate the assist cylinders from manual actuators, such as paddles, located approximately in four corners of the bassinet support surface. The height adjustment system may include a pair of paddle assemblies mounted under the bassinet support surface. The paddle assemblies may be coupled to the assist cylinder by a dual linkage that translates pivotal movement of any individual paddle into movement sufficient to simultaneously actuate both assist cylinders. The dual linkage may include a pair of drive rods coupled to a pair of actuator rods by a plurality of pivot arms. The pivot arms may be generally āLā shaped and arranged in a rectangular configuration so that each drive rod is operatively coupled to two pivot arms and each actuator rods is operatively coupled to two pivot arms.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2020Date of Patent: May 9, 2023Assignee: Industrial Woodworking CorporationInventors: Bradford L. Publication number: 20220232969Abstract: A base for an over bed table usable with patient beds having a retractable under-bed wheel(s) (e.g. a 5th wheel or drive wheels). The base includes a central portion, a pair of inner wings extending from the central portion to support a pair of inner casters, and a pair of outer wings extending from central portion to support a pair of outer casters. At least a segment of the central portion has a profile low enough to pass below a retracted under-bed wheel, while each of the outer wings has a caster segment of sufficient height to accommodate an outer caster and too high to pass below a retracted under-bed wheel. The base is configured so that, when fully inserted under a bed, the low-profile segment of the central portion is aligned with the under-bed wheel and the caster segments of the outer wings are offset beyond the under-bed wheels.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2021Publication date: July 28, 2022Inventors: Bradford L. Publication number: 20200100971Abstract: A height adjustment system for a delivery table or the like having a table top supported upon a height adjustable column with an assist cylinder. The system includes an actuator assembly to operate the assist cylinder from manual actuators, such as paddles, located approximately in four corners of table top. The system may include a pair of paddle assemblies mounted under the table top on opposite sides of said assist cylinder. The paddle assemblies may be coupled to the assist cylinder by a linear linkage that translates pivotal movement of a paddle into linear movement sufficient to actuate the assist cylinder. The linear linkage may include a straight drive rod coupled to one paddle assembly and an offset drive rod coupled to the other paddle assembly. The linear linkage may also include a pivot arm to reverse movement of the offset drive rod.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2019Publication date: April 2, 2020Inventors: Bradford L.
