Publication number: 20240065814Abstract: A dental impression tray having a plurality of adjoining segments forming an entirety thereof. A hinge is optionally provided between each of the adjoining segments allowing movement of the segments relative to each other. Each of the segments has slots therein. Removable stiffening elements are used for selectively locking and unlocking the hinges, during the use thereof for taking a dental impression, and for removing a stone model therefrom respectively. The tray optionally comprises one or more hinges. The stiffening elements and the slots have a moment of inertia to resist bending stress. Because of the hinges and the stiffening elements, there is no possibility of lateral movement of one segment relative to the other. The lateral guiding of the segments prevents, to a great extent, any deformation in the dental stone model when the tray is manipulated with a strong hand grip.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Victor Quartey, Lee Babin

Patent number: 10188850Abstract: Methods and devices for monitoring and/or controlling delivery of a fluid to a patient monitor a level of the fluid and generate an alarm and/or block flow of the fluid through a flexible delivery tube to the patient in response to detecting that the fluid level has dropped below a predetermined level. A device for monitoring and/or controlling delivery of the fluid to a patient is removeably mountable to a fluid delivery assembly having the delivery tube. When the device is configured to control delivery of the fluid, the device automatically reconfigures from a first configuration in which fluid is allowed to flow through the delivery tube to a second configuration in which the delivery tube is in a deformed state via the device to block flow of fluid through the delivery tube upon the device detecting that the fluid level is below the predetermined level.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2015Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: FIVAMED INC.Inventors: Orlando Hung, Gleb Sekretta, Benjamin Garvey, Lee Babin, Alistair Trower

Patent number: 9879708Abstract: The described embodiments provide a subsea connector that is a quickly deployable and reusable. The subsea connector comprises a male and a female assembly that can be connected and disconnected. The male assembly includes a shaft, a sleeve that surrounds the shaft, and bars that are connected to the shaft and are configured to rotate about one axis. The female assembly includes a receptacle into which the male assembly can fit. Once the male assembly is inserted into the female assembly, the bars can rotate into such a position that the male and female assemblies are connected together. The bars can also be rotated such that the male and female assemblies can be disconnected.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2016Date of Patent: January 30, 2018Assignees: ENGINUITY INC., OCEANSIDE EQUIPMENT LIMITEDInventors: Gleb Sekretta, Benjamin Garvey, Lee Babin, Daniel Horne, Louis-Phillipe Manuge, Steven Doiron, Martin Gregory Maloney, Alastair Trower

Patent number: 9834330Abstract: A labelling system includes a dispensing apparatus to present respective cut and opened sleeves of shrink-wrap label stock material for insertion of claws of crustaceans, and a heating apparatus to apply heat to the sleeves to shrink the sleeves around the claws. A related method includes inserting a claw of a crustacean into a sleeve of shrink-wrap label stock material, and applying heat to the sleeve to shrink the sleeve around the claw. Another method involves providing a dispensing apparatus to present respective cut and opened sleeves of shrink-wrap label stock material to receive claws of crustaceans, and providing a heating apparatus to apply heat to the sleeves to shrink the sleeves around the claws. A seafood product may include a crustacean having a claw, the claw carrying a shrink-wrap label.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2011Date of Patent: December 5, 2017Assignee: CLEARWATER SEAFOODS LIMITED PARTNERSHIPInventors: Timothy Andrew Burke, Ben Garvey, Lee Babin, Gleb Sekretta, Louis-Phillipe Frederick Manuge, Sean O'Leary

Patent number: 8591296Abstract: Mollusc processing apparatus and related methods are disclosed. Molluscs are held in holders by one of their shells, illustratively the bottom shells, and are moved between a series of processing stations. At a shell cut station, an opening is cut into one or both of the shells of each mollusc. The next processing station includes a cutting blade to cut the adductor muscle and viscera of each mollusc away from its non-held shell, illustratively the top shell, and a shell detach mechanism to detach the non-held shell from the held shell. One or multiple air blasts are directed toward the viscera to loosen it from the held shell, and at a vacuum station the loosened viscera is pulled from the held shell. A second muscle cut station includes another cutting blade to cut the adductor muscle from the held shell.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2010Date of Patent: November 26, 2013Assignee: Clearwater Seafoods Limited PartnershipInventors: Gleb Sekretta, Ben Garvey, Timothy Andrew Burke, Bruce Allan Stover, Andrew Neville Cormack, Gerard Murray Prinsen, Angus McLarty, Jacob MacKinnon, Nathaniel Bruce Tynes, Louis-Phillipe Frederick Manuge, Tracy Rose, David Rose, Lee Babin
