  • Patent number: 11929944
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a forwarding element (e.g., a switch, a router, etc.) that has one or more data plane, message-processing pipelines with key-value processing circuits. The forwarding element's data plane key-value circuits allow the forwarding element to perform key-value services that would otherwise have to be performed by data compute nodes connected by the network fabric that includes the forwarding element. In some embodiments, the key-value (KV) services of the forwarding element and other similar forwarding elements supplement the key-value services of a distributed set of key-value servers by caching a subset of the most commonly used key-value pairs in the forwarding elements that connect the set of key-value servers with their client applications.

  • Publication number: 20230226882
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for vehicle range predictors. The system determines a change in mass to a vehicle while driving and calculates a vehicle load in response to determining the change in mass. The system then adjusts a vehicle range in response to calculating the vehicle load. The vehicle range is indicative of a distance in which the vehicle is predicted to travel with a remaining fuel. The adjusted vehicle range is based on the vehicle load.

  • Patent number: 10888852
Abstract: Provided is a process for manufacturing a Fluid Catalytic Cracking catalyst additive composition with a novel binder. The steps involve mixing an alumina source with water to make a slurry; adding to the alumina slurry an amount of P2O5 source; the slurry is then stirred and reacted under controlled temperature and time conditions to form an aluminum phosphate binder; adding to the aluminum phosphate binder a zeolite, an amount of silica binder and an amount of clay; and spray-drying the slurry to form catalyst additive particles. The catalyst additive composition comprises a about 35 wt % to about 65 wt % zeolite; about 0 wt % to about 10 wt % silica; about 15 wt % to about 50 wt % clay and an aluminum phosphate binder comprising about 2.5 wt % to 5 wt % amorphous or pseudo-boehmite alumina and about 7 wt % to 15 wt % phosphoric acid.

  • Patent number: 9728067
Abstract: A method for providing an alert to a person to unplug an electrical power cord of an electrical device or equipment includes an alarm device that is activated upon separation of a first portion from a second portion. The first and second portions of the alarm device are secured proximate opposite sides of a loop provided in the power cord. The first and second portions, when engaged, maintain a switch of an electrical circuit in an open position. If the equipment is moved prior to unplugging the power cord, the loop will be straightened, causing the first and second portions to separate. The switch closes, completing the electrical circuit and activating the alarm device. The alarm alerts the person to unplug the power cord. A first alternate method includes the alarm device as a part of newly manufactured equipment. A second alternate method includes a motion detector or sensor in the alarm device of the newly manufactured equipment.

  • Publication number: 20130231551
Abstract: A system and method for cardiovascular exercise stress magnetic resonance using a MR-compatible treadmill. The treadmill is made of non-ferromagnetic materials and has a belt driven by a motor that produces rotational motion from pressurized fluid that is produced by a pump located outside the scan room. The treadmill is adjacent to the MR imager. Patients complete an exercise protocol on the treadmill and are then transferred to the MR imager without leaving the scan room. Images are acquired as quickly as possible post-exercise to more accurately diagnose cardiovascular disease in patients.
