Abstract: A furniture grouping includes a number of individual furniture units that are easily and securely connected together with a connection system. Each furniture unit includes a base to which a connector is attached. The connector includes a face panel to span and conceal gaps and spacings between the furniture units and the connector to provide a substantially flush, continuous and finished juncture between the furniture units. The connector is also easily and conveniently installed for removable connection to the adjacent furniture units.

Abstract: The invention herein disclosed relates to an improved method of upholstering seating units having rigid frames. After the rigid frame is constructed and various surfaces including its seat and back portions covered with a resilient foam layer, an upholstery cover 26 is positioned over the frame and secured thereto through the use of rigid bars 34 carried in casings 32 that extend around the perimeter of the bottom of the cover 26. The bars 34 have adjustment holes 36 which engage studs 16 on the frame. Wing nuts 38 secure the bars 34 to the studs 16.

The rigid rods are enclosed in fabric pockets within the upholstery cover. The swivel snap clips are connected to the rigid rods at one end and to eyebolts in the rigid frame at their other end.
