  • Patent number: 10127510
Abstract: A system is provided that manages aggregated information-driven approvals. The system creates an aggregation attribute that includes an aggregation function that automatically aggregates a plurality of data values into an aggregate data value for an attribute across a plurality of components of a document. The system defines an attribute identifier for the aggregation attribute, where the attribute identifier defines the attribute of the document whose data values are automatically aggregated by the aggregation function. The system further defines one or more filters for the aggregation attribute, wherein the one or more filters define the components of the document whose data values are automatically aggregated by the aggregation function.

  • Publication number: 20160239912
Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable memory may include instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations including receiving a first requisition by a computer system of a procurement organization. The operations may also include receiving, by the computer system of the procurement organization, first SQL commands that generate a first change to be applied to a budget allocation associated with the first requisition. The operations may additionally include determining, by the computer system of the procurement organization, that the first change to the budget allocation does not violate a threshold. The operations may further include in response to determining that the first change does not violate the threshold, creating, by the computer system of the procurement organization, second SQL commands that generate a purchase order based on the first change.

  • Patent number: 9330414
Abstract: A method of modifying a requisition within approval and budgetary constraints by a procurement organization may include receiving the requisition from a requesting organization, where the requisition may comprise one or more lines, each having been approved by the requesting organization. The method may also include receiving a change to be applied to a first line associated with a first budget allocation, where the change may be received from a buyer in the procurement organization, and the change may be associated with a second budget allocation. The method may additionally include determining that the change violates a threshold, sending the change to the requesting organization for a second approval, receiving, from the requesting organization, an indication as to whether the second approval is granted, and creating a purchase order based on the indication as to whether the second approval is granted.

  • Patent number: 9202242
Abstract: Particular embodiments provide an order procurement application to allow users to search for items in an order procurement catalog. A classification of items in the order procurement catalog is determined. A plurality of different types of items are classified. The different types may be characterized by different methods of ordering that are needed to order an item of the type. During searching, a query for the order procurement catalog may be received. A classification position may be determined based on the query. For example, a node in a hierarchy may be determined. Ancestor and descendant positions in the classification may also be determined, such as ancestor and descendant nodes for the current node. A plurality of items is then determined for the classification position, ancestor position, and descendant position. The plurality of items that are determined may then be displayed to a user in response to the query.

  • Patent number: 8943065
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for managing catalog information that can include tracking and reporting search terms used for catalog items searches. According to one embodiment, a procurement application can maintain a log of unique search phrases which returned no search results. For example, the log can maintain records from a specific time period. A count can be maintained to capture how many times a phrase was used for search within the specific time period, and used to rank the frequency of the search phrases. Search phrases that exceed that time period may be purged. The accumulated counts and associated search terms can be provided to the managers periodically and/or upon request in the form of a summary or other graphical and/or textual report or presentation.

  • Patent number: 8656508
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for licensed feature enablement management for deploying software to be used in conformance with a software license agreement. The system includes a software application provider server that deploys a software application and a role hierarchy enumerating a list of roles and features of the software application that each role in the list of roles is licensed to use in accordance with a license agreement. The software application provider server further comprises a role examiner server that determines whether the deployed software application is being used in compliance with the software license. The system also includes a customer enterprise application server that receives the deployed application and role hierarchy and enables use of the application to customer employees based on their assigned roles. The customer enterprise application server comprises a role directory server that responds to queries from the role examiner to maintain conformance with the software license.

  • Publication number: 20130317869
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for managing catalog information that can include onsite as well as externally hosted product or service information. Generally speaking, customers can create externally hosted catalogs for each supplier, and set up high level keywords so that a link to the externally hosted catalog information can be returned if requesters execute a search using these keywords. The source of where the product or service comes from does not result in issues for the requesters when trying to locate an item. Rather, the enterprise procurement application can guide the requesters to the items they are looking for regardless of the source.

  • Publication number: 20130282535
Abstract: A method of calculating accounting encumbrance adjustments for a purchase order associated with a first allocation of a budget includes determining that the purchase order has been closed, where the closure prevents additional processing associated with the purchase order by an invoice processing system; receiving a request to reopen the purchase order, where the request is associated with an additional cost; causing a determination to be made as to whether a second portion of the budget should be allocated, where the second portion of the budget corresponds to the additional cost; and in response to a determination that the second portion of the budget can be allocated: causing the second portion of the budget to be allocated, reopening the purchase order, and sending an indication to the invoice processing system that the purchase order is reopened.

  • Publication number: 20130073518
Abstract: A system, computer-implemented method, and computer program product for performing integrated transactional and data warehouse business intelligence analysis using a correlated report constructed from data correlations between current transactional data and historical data from a data warehouse. The method commences by retrieving a transactional data record from an online transactional processing (OLTP) system, the transactional data record comprising at least one OLTP business intelligence value of a particular business intelligence attribute, then receiving from a storage system, results of a query to a data warehouse, the results comprising a historical business intelligence value of the same business intelligence attribute. Modules within the system (e.g., a business intelligence application) perform processing to combine the OLTP business intelligence value with the historical business intelligence value to form a correlated report and transmit the correlated report for displaying on a single surface.

  • Publication number: 20100299174
Abstract: Techniques for supporting shared procurement services in an enterprise application. According to one set of embodiments, associations between procurement service providers and procurement clients are stored, where the associations represent outsourcing relationships between these entities in the operational structure of an enterprise. The associations are then used by the application to facilitate the management of procurement-related content and the processing of procurement transactions. In one embodiment, the associations enable procurement-related content to be created/managed centrally by a procurement service provider and then made accessible to procurement clients serviced by the procurement service provider. In another embodiment, a rules-driven mechanism is provided for routing procurement requisitions from procurement clients to associated procurement service providers for processing.
