  • Patent number: 6162082
Abstract: A sealed connector assembly (10) for use with equipment subject to submersion under water includes two electrical connector shells (25, 29) which are inserted in bayonet fashion into opposite sides of a locking member (40), which is then manually rotated to lock the parts together and shield the electrical connection. The three parts have alignment marks (56, 58, 59) for axial assembly and another mark (57) indicating the rotation of the locking member (40) to a locked position. A body of grease (55) is disposed in one connector shell (25) and an O-ring (50) is placed on the barrel (27) to provide sealing when the connector shells (25, 27) are locked together. The connector shells (25, 29) have wire entry ports and sealing ports for admitting an encapsulating material to seal the wire entry ends. Score lines (68, 69) allow for fracture and removal of the locking member (40) during servicing. Methods of assembly and disassembly are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4868566
Abstract: In a metering pulse generator, a metering element engages a spring member to effect a gradual bending movement in one direction followed by a rapid return movement during which a pulse signal is developed by a piezoelectric material on the spring member . Energy is absorbed during each such rapid return movement of the spring member to provide damping, inhibit oscillations and effect reliable generation of a single pulse signal which is applied to an amplifier for transmission to a monitoring station.

  • Patent number: 3980068
Abstract: A gasoline powered machine, shown in the form of a lawn mower, having a gasoline engine, and a mower deck for a housing, and a mower handle, and ground engaging wheels. The engine has the usual electric circuitry connected thereto, and two electric switches are connected with the circuitry for grounding the circuit and thereby stopping operation of the engine when the switches are not being operated, and that is when they are then in a normally-closed position. Therefore, the operator must be in physical contact with either of the two switches to maintain either one in an open position in order to have the gasoline engine operating.
