  • Patent number: 9264100
Abstract: An emergency communications device contains dispatch consoles for use by user that contains multiple repeaters and multiple communication networks. The multiple repeaters and multiple communication networks are used for redundancy purposes, in case the repeater or communication network in use becomes disabled for any reason. The device also contains a recorder unit capable of provided instant playback to emergency dispatch personnel independently of whether the unit is recording. The device does not require an external computer to operate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 1, 2012
Date of Patent: February 16, 2016
    Assignee: Henry Bros. Electronics, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20040110520
Abstract: An amplifier system having an amplifier for amplifying a communications signal, a scanning receiver for monitoring a signal strength of the communications signal, a microprocessor for determining, based on the signal strength of the communications signal, whether the communications signal should be amplified, and a switch, controlled by the microprocessor, for allowing the communications signal to pass through the amplifier or be terminated.

  • Publication number: 20020181668
Abstract: An antenna system for use with cellular and other radio frequency communications is disclosed. The system includes an antenna for receiving radio frequency transmissions as well as an interface box for converting radio frequency signals to fiber optic signals. The fiber optic signals are then transmited along fiber optic cables, eliminating the need for heavy coaxial cables. The fiber optic signal is converted to a radio frequency signal by a converter. Then, a communication base station receives the radio frequency signal from the converter and transmits that signal.

  • Publication number: 20020045434
Abstract: A method and system for transmitting information modulated radio frequency (RF) signals between a plurality of communication nodes includes a plurality of transceivers. One or more first transceivers receive a first modulated RF signal and convert it to a modulated infrared (IR) signal, and a second modulated IR signal and convert it to a second modulated RF signal. One or more second transceivers receive the first modulated IR signal from the first transceiver and convert it to a third modulated RF signal, and receive a fourth modulated RF signal and convert it to the second modulated IR signal. The third modulated RF signalis substantially equivalent to the first modulated RF signal, and the second modulated RF signal is substantially equivalent to the fourth modulated RF signal.

  • Publication number: 20010031623
Abstract: An improved filter amplifier for wireless communication is provided. The filter amplifier comprises a talk-in and talk-out booster. The booster utilizes a single local oscillator to down-convert a received signal for filtering and up-convert the received signal for further amplification. A combining unit including amplifier and isolator is operable to receive the filtered signal and amplify and combine the signal. The use of isolators allows for combining signals without interference. The booster amplifier filter unit is designed for use in low reception areas including tunnels and office buildings.
