  • Publication number: 20100242423
Abstract: Embodiments for a filter and method for fabricating the same are provide herein. In one embodiment, a filter is provided that includes a first end cap, a second end cap, at least a first filtration media element and at least a first brace. The first end cap has an air flow aperture formed therethrough. The first and second end caps define a central axis. The first filtration media element is coupled to the first and second end caps and has an orientation curved around the central axis. The brace separates a first closed edge of the filtration media element from a second closed edge of the filtration media element.

  • Patent number: 7722699
Abstract: An adaptable dual direction, differential pressure assembly is disclosed. Solenoid valves release controlled bursts of air into a top of a container. A rate of the controlled bursts of air is partially responsive to a pressure differential between atmospheric pressure and that of compressed air in the reservoir. A pleated filter is fitted inside of the container. The pleated filter has an inner wall and an outer wall and has pleatings separated using hot melt glue beads there between. The controlled bursts of air are programmed to be substantially automatically responsive to one or more pressure differentials between an inner wall and an outer wall. In one embodiment, air is drawn from the blower through the pleated filter from the inner wall to the outer wall until a desired pressure differential is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20040261376
Abstract: An air filter assembly has a pleated filter cartridge for filtering out dust from the air, this unit being fabricated of a suitable paper material. The cartridge is in the form of a receptacle having an open top, a closed bottom and closed sides which run entirely there around. Pleats are formed in the sides of the cartridge. The pleats are separated from each other by an adhesive bead which may be formed from a hot melt material. In the filtering cycle air is drawn out by a blower from the inside of the cartridge thereby drawing air from the outsides through the pleated sides which filter our dirt. The filtered air is fed from the cartridge to an area requiring clean air. Periodically, the filter is automatically cleaned by compressed pulsating air which is fed to the interior of the cartridge drives through the pleated sides, thereby blowing off dirt accumulated on the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 5972059
Abstract: A filter assembly for use in filtering air in a dust collecting system has a pleated conical filter element which is mounted within a pleated cylindrical filter element. The cylindrical filter element is attached at one end to a base member and at the other end to a top member. The base portion of the conical element is attached to the base member. The apex of the conical member is closed off by a brace which has brackets thereon for supporting the conical member on the inner wall of the cylindrical member. Air to be cleaned is flowed into an aperture formed in the base portion and flows into the inner portion of the conical element with various portions of the air flowing through the filter walls of the conical element into the space between such walls and the cylindrical element. Air to be cleaned is also fed through the side portion of the cylindrical element into the space between the conical element and he cylindrical element with the filtered air being fed out through an aperture in the top member.
