  • Publication number: 20240090721
Abstract: A robotic cleaner includes a housing, a suction conduit with an opening, and a leading roller mounted in front of a brush roll. An inter-roller air passageway may be defined between the leading roller and the brush roll wherein the lower portion of the leading roller is exposed to a flow path to the suction conduit and an upper portion of the leading roller is outside of the flow path. Optionally, a combing unit includes a plurality of combing protrusions extending into the leading roller and having leading edges not aligned with a center of the leading roller. Optionally, a sealing strip is located along a rear side of the opening and along a portion of left and right sides of the opening. The underside may define side edge vacuum passageways extending from the sides of the housing partially between the leading roller and the sealing strip towards the opening.

  • Patent number: 5199362
Abstract: A pollution control system for removing harmful elements from industrial smoke streams comprises a reciprocating pump assembly that draws smoke from a furnace or the like and delivers it through a passageway where the smoke is treated sequentially to remove harmful elements therefrom. Disposed along the passageway is an atomizer station, a first fibrous filter, an ignition chamber, and a second fibrous filter. Having traversed the passageway, the smoke is ejected into a large tank of water and bubbles to the surface thereof, thus being further cleansed. From the water tank, the cleansed smoke stream moves up a stack, through a final fibrous filter, and into the atmosphere where it poses a substantially reduced environmental hazard.

  • Patent number: 4869634
Abstract: A vehicle parking garage has a plurality of storage areas arranged in a vertical column and a passageway beside the column in communication with the storage areas. Each storage area has associated therewith a storage member adapted to receive and contain a pallet. Each storage member has a storage position within a storage area and a loading position within the passageway and is adapted to move laterally between its storage and loading positions. A pair of spaced vertical track sections are mounted to each storage member and extend partially into the passageway when the storage members are in their storage positions with the track sections of adjacent storage members aligning vertically to define a pair of vertically extending tracks within the passageway.
