  • Patent number: 9542076
Abstract: A living address book allows subscribers to define their own personas as collections of information which define the users. Subscribers can then publish their persona(s) to their friends' and associates' mobile phones and update the others' address books with the subscriber's contact information. Users can also specify different personas to be presented to different users. The living address book graphical user interface allows more efficient and easier access to data.

  • Patent number: 9432439
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, mobile phones and other electronic devices access content through links, rather than storing the content on the mobile phone or at a location under the control of a mobile phone operator. A user retrieves the content by accessing a link on the mobile phone, which results in transferring the content from a content-provider location directly to the mobile phone. In this way, the mobile phone operator does not have to reserve storage for the content, and the content provider, alerted that the user is restoring or otherwise requesting content, is able to offer the user upgrades, replacement content, and related content. To better offer a user relevant content, a history of purchases for the mobile phone, the user, or both is maintained.

  • Publication number: 20140280779
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to an apparatus, system and method of content transferring. Self-contained local servers, typically with built in WiFi access point capabilities, are locally deployed. Each local server acts as a local cache to a remote system Internet cloud infrastructure, which can include one or more remote servers. Each end device participating in the content transfer operation interacts with a local server rather than directly with the cloud infrastructure when a local server is available.

  • Patent number: 8621025
Abstract: The invention relates to the transference of data between two systems independent of the form in which the data is kept on the respective systems, and in particular to providing an efficient means of communicating data between systems and devices. It further relates to a system for allowing users to provide other individuals with a personalized representation of the user in a network environment, such as a cellular telephone network and the backup and restoration of data stored in a wireless telephone, and in particular a mobile telephone having data storage capabilities.

  • Patent number: 8611873
Abstract: A system and method of advanced identification information to be created and distributed to users of wireless communication devices, such as mobile phones. Subscribers can define their own personas as collections of information which define the users. Subscribers can then publish their persona(s) to their friends' and associates' mobile phones, and update the others' address books with the subscriber's contact information. Users can specify different personas to be presented to different users.

  • Patent number: 8442943
Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing devices which can couple to the Internet, or any network. In one aspect a system for synchronizing data between a first system and a second system is provided. The system includes a first sync engine on the first system interfacing with data on the first system to provide difference information. A data store is coupled to the network and in communication with the first and second systems. A second sync engine is provided on the second system coupled to receive the difference information from the data store via the network, and interface with data on the second system to update said data on the second system with said difference information. Difference information is transmitted to the data store by the first sync engine and received from the data store from the second sync engine.

  • Patent number: 8255006
Abstract: An event dependent notification system and method presents a message to a user of a mobile device suggesting the user to perform an action during and/or after an event is detected. The event is detected by an accelerometer or another sensor. In some embodiments, instead of or in addition to a message being presented, the action is automatically taken. The message is able to encourage users to perform actions they do not typically perform or enroll in programs/services they are not currently utilizing, ultimately providing better and/or more secure functionality of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 7634509
Abstract: A system and method for organizing information in a personal information space. The personal information space includes at least one data source holding at least a portion of the personal information space. The system includes an agent for the data source which provides interaction information regarding data in the data source; and a interaction evaluation engine including one or more weighting characteristics for each interaction, and providing an output reflecting a weighting of one or more characteristics of the interaction. The method may comprise the steps of determining when an interaction between a contact on one of the contact data sources occurs; analyzing one or more characteristics of the interaction event to determine a at least one trait about the interaction; and generating a result based on said step of analyzing.
