Abstract: A method of this disclosure directionally drills at least one well extending from ground surface to an interior of an underground mine located below ground, the well being at an oblique angle relative to vertical; blends or mixes together a hazardous material, like lead, zinc, arsenic, and cadmium with cement including a plasticizer; pumps or flows the mixture into the well, wherein the mixture flows toward a lower end of the mine and hardens in place. The method allows for the permanent placement of contaminated mixtures like chat into mines or shafts or depositories, as defined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, CERCLA and Superfund laws and complies with rules for the permanent closing of these structures with contaminated material and contaminated substances.

Abstract: A system continuously monitors bearing temperature and wheel surface condition. The system may include a button contact sensor for sensing wheel bearing temperature and a measuring laser for detecting wheel breakage. The system may also include a vibration sensor, sound sensor, and a load sensor. Each sensor is in communication with a receiver/transmitter and may be mounted to the railcar by way of a friction lock magnetic mounting. Computer means may be used to store, analyze, and present the collected information for use in deciding whether, for example, the train should be slowed or stopped. A solar panel may provide power to the components.

Abstract: A system which eliminates the need for wayside monitoring of railcar wheel bearings and wheels includes a temperature sensor located on the railcar in close proximity to the bogie; a measuring laser located on the railcar in close proximity to the bogie and arranged to monitor breakage; a power source for the temperature sensor and the measuring laser; and a wireless transmitter to transmit the data collected by the temperature sensor and the measuring laser.

Abstract: A composition of one or more farm animal waste streams is made by bio-digesting the stream and then granulizing it, the granulized product being in a range of 0.1 to 0.5 inches in diameter and having a moisture content no greater than 15% or, more preferably, no greater than 7%. The method for making the composition includes the steps of (i) processing the farm animal waste stream in a bio-digester and (ii) granulizing the bio-digested farm animal waste stream. The bio-digester is preferably at a high temperature in a range of 160° to 180° F. The bio-digested farm animal waste stream can be mixed with a binding material such as coal-ash, sawdust, or an equivalent. The composition can then be applied sub-surface using a box or air seeder.

Abstract: Laura's blend is an organic compost that is blended with ingredients that will meet EPA approval as organic compost. The blending is done to meet requirements for soil condition so as to protect that land from over application of fertilizer. If the customer wants just a standard blended compost then Laura's Blend will be blended to meet the standard application rates as chemical fertilizers, but will be environment friendly.
