Abstract: Various systems, methods, and apparatuses provide for receiving location data indicative of a location of an initiating user; identifying at least one other user within a predefined distance of the initiating user; identifying at least one existing interactive chat session based on the location of the initiating user; and generating and providing a waiting room indicative of the identified at least one other user and the at least one existing interactive chat session to a graphical user interface of a user device of the initiating user, wherein the waiting room facilitates receiving a selection from the initiating user to at least one of join at least one of the at least one existing interactive chat session and create a new interactive chat session.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by an alert module, a first keyword indicative of a first topic of interest via a graphical user interface associated with an initiating user; receiving, by the alert module, a second keyword indicative of a second topic of interest from the graphical user interface; receiving, by a search engine module communicably coupled to the alert module, a search query from a second user; determining, by the alert module, that the search query is substantially similar to at least one of the first and second keywords; and responsive to the determination, providing, by the alert module, an alert regarding the determination to the initiating user, wherein the alert is configured to at least one of notify the initiating user of search activity surrounding the first keyword and facilitate an initiation of an interactive chat session between the first and second users regarding the second keyword.

Abstract: A computer system includes a network interface configured to communicate with a plurality of user devices and at least one server implementing an internet search engine, memory configured to store information related to a plurality of users of the computer system, an interactive chat module stored in memory and configured to be executed to establish chat based communication between a first user of the computer system and at least a second user of the computer system, a search engine module stored in memory and configured to be executed to provide search queries received at the computer system to remote search engines and further configured to process received search results from the remote search engine, and a processor. The processor is configured to cause the user device to display search results and chat options based on location and identifying expert users.

Abstract: A computer system for displaying web advertisements includes a processor and a non-transient memory device coupled to the processor and comprising a module for receiving a video advertisement and a module for receiving advertiser display preferences regarding the video advertisement from an advertiser. The memory further includes a player module and a playback script, wherein the playback script is called to serve as a frame from a web publisher's web page. The playback script causes the end user's browser to load the player module and the video, and the player module further comprises code for determining which video to playback based on at least bids and advertiser display preferences.

Abstract: In a system where e-mail content is monetized based on content, a computer method includes scanning an e-mail for targeted keywords associated with advertiser bids for advertisement and detecting the keywords using an e-mail server, determining at least one advertisement associated with at least one of the detected keyword having a highest advertiser bid, creating an advertisement in the e-mail based on the at least one advertisement, sending the e-mail to a recipient, receiving a payment corresponding to a click on the advertisement, and sending at least part of the payment to a user which sent the e-mail, wherein the created advertisement includes a uniform resource locator, and wherein the payment is split between an operator of the e-mail server and the user which sent the e-mail.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure relate to a computer-implemented method including the step of presenting on a graphical user interface reporting search results for a product, information for a plurality of potential vendors of the product. The method further includes presenting, on the graphical user interface, an option to interact with each of a subset of the potential vendors. Abstract: A search engine system for augmenting the display of search engine results. A user uses a browser to identify a search engine. A script associated with the browser obtains layout information for the search engine. The user submits a query to the layout. The browser submits the query to a master server. The master server retrieves search results responsive to the query and low-resolution images associated therewith. The master server returns the search results and images to the browser, which displays the results to the user. The browser may obtain high-resolution images, scaled from low-resolution images in response to a request from the user. The master server may also provide search engine results from other search engines, augmenting the display to accommodate this additional real-time information.
