  • Patent number: 11903814
Abstract: A delivery sleeve for assisting delivery of a tissue implant may include an enclosure an orifice, and a throat. A cinching mechanism, which may include a fastener, may be disposed about the throat. The fastener may be used to fasten the cinching mechanism in a cinched configuration to maintain the throat in a closed configuration. The cinching mechanism may include implant-size indicators thereon. A lubricant or lubricious material may be included upon an inner surface of the enclosure. • Publication number: 20240000455
Abstract: A wound closure system includes a porous mesh, a first pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) applied to a top surface of the porous mesh, a removable first liner covering the first PSA, a second PSA applied to a bottom surface of the porous mesh, and a removable second liner covering the second PSA. The second PSA is stronger or denser than the first PSA. A method of using the wound closure system includes removing the second liner to expose the second PSA, pressing the second PSA against skin to approximate wound edges, removing the first liner to expose the first PSA, and pressing a therapeutic device against the first PSA to secure the therapeutic device to the porous mesh. A liquid adhesive is applied over the porous mesh and the therapeutic device, and then cured for binding the porous mesh to skin and binding the therapeutic device to the porous mesh.

  • Patent number: 11490885
Abstract: A method of joining together two tissue layers includes positioning a tissue anchor over a first tissue layer. The tissue anchor includes a plate having top and bottom surfaces, an array of first pins projecting from the bottom surface of the plate that oppose the first tissue layer, and an array of second pins projecting from the top surface of the plate that face away from the first tissue layer. A second tissue layer is placed over the first tissue layer and the tissue anchor so that the second pins oppose the second tissue layer. The second tissue layer is pressed onto the tissue anchor and toward the first tissue layer so that the first pins advance into the first tissue layer and the second pins advance into the second tissue layer for joining together the first and second tissue layers. The plate has second pin apertures and the second pins are free to slide and move independently of one another within the second pin apertures.

  • Patent number: 7267869
Abstract: A conductive, corrosion-resistant coating includes a mixture of corrosion-resistant binder and highly conductive corrosion-resistant particles. The size of the particles is equal to or greater than the final thickness of the coating. After the coating is applied and cured, the surface of the coating is machined to remove the top surface layer of the binder as well as the top parts of the particles embedded in the binder, thus opening multiple direct conductive paths to the underlying substrate through the conductive particles.

  • Publication number: 20060177365
Abstract: The present invention applies the fundamental electrochemical NEMCA effect (Non-Faradaic Electrochemical Modification of Catalytic Activity), to the treatment of the automotive exhaust. A solid electrolyte layer is sandwiched between a conductive catalyst layer and the underlying metal honeycomb multichannel supporting structure forming the exhaust treatment device. Electric current is applied between the catalyst layer and the metallic structure resulting in an increase of catalytic activity of the catalyst. The exhaust stream is passing through the multichannel honeycomb structure and is catalytically treated with increased efficiency.
