  • Patent number: 7432444
Abstract: A temporary protective cover for an electrical outlet box is disclosed which is attached to the outlet box after wiring is installed but before wallboard is hung over the box. The protective cover has a protruding pin mounted in a keyhole shaped hole through the cover and when wallboard is mounted over the outlet box the protruding pin indicates the location of the box so a tool can be used to cut away wallboard covering the box while preventing wires inside the box from being cut. The protruding pin is then slid along the keyhole slot to its large end and is pushed inside the outlet box. The absence of the protruding pin makes it easier to apply spackle, paint and other materials to the wallboard and to sand it. The cover provides protection against spackle, paint, dust and other debris from entering the outlet box until the cover is removed by an electrician who then install outlets and switches.

  • Patent number: 6666431
Abstract: An electrically controlled flow valve is disclosed that is co-located with a manually operated, remote, water supply flow valve to control the flow of water through a hose from the water supply valve to an appliance such as a washing machine. A controller in the appliance controls the new flow valve to control the flow of water to the appliance, and isolates water pressure from the hot and cold water supply lines from the hoses and the washing machine when the appliance is not in use. Any hose leak that may occur when the alliance is not in use is limited to the small amount of water that normally lies in the hoses.

  • Patent number: 5249383
Abstract: A plastic display device for holding and protecting a card or card-like display item including a rectangular front section having a top surface and a bottom surface and a rectangular rear section having a top and bottom surface and conforming in area to the front section. The front and rear sections have corresponding frame structures comprising top walls, side walls and bottom walls. Transparent panel sections extend about the front and rear portions of the frame structures and together with the frame structures form a chamber of sufficient size for receiving a card or card-like display item. The chamber may have an area that is slightly greater than the card.
