Patent number: 11940308Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for promoting more desirable fluid flow within a section of pipe between upstream and downstream transducers in a fluid meter (e.g., a water or gas meter). To create better fluid flow characteristics, an insert may be installed within the section of pipe. The insert may be configured with an upper portion and a lower portion that are connected in the manufacturing process. The insert may include mirror supports configured to result in low pressure drop and stable flow conditions. The mirror supports (upstream and downstream) reflect the ultrasonic signals sent between the upstream and downstream piezo transducers. A fluid stabilizer may be connected to one of the upper portion or the lower portion of the insert. The fluid stabilizer may include a conical central portion and four blades to smooth fluid flow between the transducers and associated mirrors.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2021Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: ITRON GLOBAL SARLInventors: Pierre-Olivier Jandaud, Soufiane Zbidi, Clara Lefaucheux, Jeremy Masson, Leo Meyer, Abdel-Hakim Elattar

Patent number: 11911988Abstract: A manually operated press comprising an actuating member coupled to a shaft, wherein an actuation of the actuating member is converted into a stroke movement of a press ram coupled to the shaft, and hence also into a change in a relative position of the press ram. The press furthermore comprises a reset mechanism for resetting the actuating member, which reset mechanism counteracts the actuation of the actuating member and causes a return movement of the press ram opposite the stroke movement. The reset mechanism comprises a spiral spring.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: GEBR. SCHMIDT FABRIK FÜR FEINMECHANIK GMBH & CO. KInventor: Andreas Leo Meyer

Patent number: 10547814Abstract: The camera glasses are a personal security device adapted for use with eyeglasses. The camera glasses are fitted with a plurality of cameras that are configured to record the surroundings of the user. Each of the plurality of cameras are mounted on the eyeglasses such that one or more front cameras record a video recording of the activities in front of the user while one or more back cameras record a video recording of the activities behind the user. The camera glasses may be placed in a recording mode. Alternatively a “panic” switch is provided that will initiate video recordings from all of the plurality of cameras. In addition, the “panic” switch will initiate an audio recording of the situation and activate an audible alarm in order to draw attention to a potentially dangerous situation. The camera glasses comprises a plurality of cameras, eyeglasses, and a recording unit.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2017Date of Patent: January 28, 2020Inventor: Leo Meyers
