    Abstract: Apparatus for loading a container onto a truck or trailer, and for dumping the container, includes a first frame pivotally attached to the rear of the truck or trailer and a second frame pivotally mounted on the first frame. An L-shaped member is pivotally mounted on the second frame, and its pivotal movement is controlled independently of the pivotal movement of the two frames by a piston and cylinder arrangement. The path of movement of the grasping end of the L-shaped member is twice the length of the section of the member that is connected to the second frame, to enable different sized containers to be transported and dumped in different positions on the truck or trailer.
