  • Patent number: 4120809
Abstract: Compositions suitable for bleaching and washing comprising essentially (1) a water-soluble peroxide bleaching agent, (2) an activator comprising an organic compound and (3) a nitrilotricarboxylic compound.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 5, 1976
Date of Patent: October 17, 1978
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
    Inventor: Leo Thomas Murray
  • Patent number: 3982891
Abstract: Activator compounds for bleaching and/or detergent compositions comprising imides having an N-bonded grouping of the formula -- COOR wherein R represents lower alkyl or phenyl typical compounds including e.g., N-methoxycarbonylphthalimide; N-methoxycarbonylsaccharide, N-phenoxycarbonyl succinimide, and N-methoxycarbonyl acetamide.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 18, 1975
Date of Patent: September 28, 1976
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company

  • Patent number: 3969257
Abstract: Compositions suitable for bleaching and washing comprising essentially (1) a water-soluble peroxide bleaching agent, (2) an activator comprising an organic compound and (3) a nitrilotricarboxylic compound.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 1973

    Inventor: Leo Thomas Murray
  • Patent number: 3956478
Abstract: Dentifrice composition containing a monofluorophosphate and polishing agent containing calcium carbonate and insoluble alkali metal metaphosphate, alumina or mixture thereof. The ratio of calcium carbonate to insoluble alkali metal metaphosphate and to alumina is about 3:1 to about 1000:1. This dentifrice retains a desirable level of soluble fluoride upon aging and when insoluble alkali metal metaphosphate is present, does not cause substantial corrosion of unlined aluminum containers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 6, 1975
Date of Patent: May 11, 1976
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
Inventors: William James King, Leo Thomas Murray, Gerhard Martin Salzmann
