Abstract: There is provided a dissolvable film polymer matrix that includes a plurality of magnetically responsive kertin-like fibers for application to an individual's face or head. The dissolvable film polymer matrix product includes hairs that are magnetically oriented in a non-random plain to be applied on an individuals face or head to simulate the appearance of the individual's natural hair. Methods of manufacturing and applying the dissolvable polymer matrix product are also disclosed.

Abstract: Cosmetic compositions comprising high molecular weight polyurethane polymers are disclosed. The polyurethane polymers typically will have a molecular weight greater than about 50,000. The cosmetic compositions provide cosmetic films on the lips which are comfortable, long-wearing, transfer-resistant, and have a shiny finish.

Abstract: The present invention provides cosmetic compositions that form a durable film or coating on surfaces such as hair or skin. The compositions of the invention comprise one or more anionic silicones and one or more high molecular weight esters, the combination of which provides a durable film. Methods for treatment of hair and skin employing the compositions of the invention are also provided.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition comprising a lipophilic clay gel and a hydrophilic clay gel. The two gels are combined or formed in situ to create a gel matrix. This matrix functions like an emulsion to deliver water and oil to the skin or other surface, but can be substantially free of surfactants, emulsifiers and waxes. A method for the preparation of a clay gel matrix is also revealed.

Each removable wall forms at least two compartments in the pan, with each compartment having apertures therein. The method also includes injecting a first liquid cosmetic through a first of the apertures; injecting a second liquid cosmetic through a second of the apertures, in which the first and second liquid cosmetics may be the same or different; setting the first and second liquid cosmetics without compaction; and removing the at least one removable wall. The present invention also includes pans having breakaway or removable spacer walls, and pans having frame-like structures with open bottom panels. The present invention further includes methods and devices for setting and forming the surfaces of the resulting cosmetics.
