  • Patent number: 11938594
Abstract: An impact tool includes a housing including a motor housing portion and a front housing coupled to the motor housing portion, a motor supported within the motor housing portion, a battery pack supported by the housing for providing power to the motor, and a drive assembly supported within the housing and configured to convert continuous torque from the motor to consecutive rotational impacts upon a workpiece capable of developing at least 1,700 ft-lbs of fastening torque. The drive assembly includes a camshaft driven by the motor for rotation about an axis, an anvil extending from the front housing, and a hammer configured to reciprocate along a travel portion of the camshaft between a rearmost position and a forwardmost position to deliver rotational impacts to the anvil in response to rotation of the camshaft.

Abstract: A method is described for extracting aperiodic components from a time-series wave data set for diagnosis purposes. The method may include collecting time-series wave data within a controlled environment were a plurality of contrasting conditions can be used in collecting the time-series wave data set. Aperiodic components can be extracted from the time-series wave data set and the aperiodic components can then be fitted to the plurality of contrasting conditions of the controlled environment to product regressed aperiodic components from which diagnostic determination can be made.

  • Patent number: 7082741
Abstract: A saddle correcting device consisting of 4 protective shields placed over the shoulders and loins of an equine to protect areas of movement often damaged by the rigid structure of a saddle. The shields are placed upon, or within, a pair of connected aprons, under the saddle against the horse. The shields are molded to the general shape of the equine anatomy they are to protect and slotted to induce flexing in areas necessary to utilize the upward bending actions of the shoulders and downward and inward pressures of the saddletree bars. By harnessing these opposing forces, the shields act to keep the corrector device in place, while concurrently holding the saddle rearward of the rotating scapulas. The area of weight distribution is increased under the shields only in the areas of most damage to the musculature of the animal by the typical saddletree. The closeness of the rider to the horse is enhanced because little padding is needed under the saddle.

  • Publication number: 20030112234
Abstract: A Statistical Comparator Interface provides a user with the capability to reduce vast amounts of raw data into a readily navigable and quickly comprehendible form. The Statistical Comparator Interface is embodied in two basic stages. In a data compilation stage, a compilation module, which is preferably implemented with computer software, receives the raw data and compiles the raw data into a format that is readily navigable by a navigation engine. This may include expanding the data through statistical computations and arranging the data in a data matrix complete with hierarchal indices. In a navigation stage, the navigation engine is employed to allow a user to generate data profiles from among the formatted data, including selecting a peer group with selected characteristics and selecting statistical comparisons to be calculated and displayed for the selected peer group.

  • Patent number: 5746580
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for creating heat by electromagnetic induction between relatively rotating components. In RAT applications, part of the nose cone (34) is formed from electrically conductive material (106) which is in thermally conductive relation to the nose cone exterior. A magnetic field is created by components (60) that are spaced apart from the electrically conductive material and relatively rotatable with respect to that material. The electrically conductive material intersects the magnetic field, at least in part, such that eddy currents are created in the electrically conductive material by relative rotation with respect to the magnetic field. These eddy currents create heat which is conducted to the exterior surface of the RAT nose cone. Preferably, the magnetic field is created by a pair of spaced-apart permanent magnets (60) mounted on a support plate (62) inside the RAT hub (28) and immediately behind the nose cone.

  • Patent number: 4373889
Abstract: A hydraulic press having an upper ram-die subassembly is lowered hydraulically toward a mold cavity at a relatively high speed while resting by gravity on lower sets of nuts attached to the lower ends of piston rods. When the upper die comes to rest on the pulverulent material in the cavity, the piston rods continue their downward movement through passageways in the ram. At a predetermined distance sensed by a sensor on a set of upper nuts located on the rods above the ram cooperating with a switch on the ram itself, the ram continues downward at a much slower speed against the material with very high pressure for an initial stroke and then is retracted for additional strokes to "de-air" the powder (optional). Finally, after de-airing, the ram-die combination effects the final forming operation on the powder in the cavity.

  • Patent number: 4368020
Abstract: In presses such as hydraulic presses used for forming tiles or bricks from ceramic or other materials, a mold box is mounted in alignment with the upper and lower dies. To hold the mold box without keying it to the mold case, a wedging assembly comprises an outer wedge releasably fixed to a wall of the opening and having a vertically angled surface facing inwardly. Next to it is an inner wedge having a vertically angled surface which is brought into contact with the angled surface of the outer wedge. Adjustable securing means such as vertical bolts pass through a vertical passageway in the inner wedge and are screwed into an aligned, threaded passageway in the outer wedge for moving the inner wedge vertically until its translation laterally secures the key-less mold box fast by friction alone against downward thrusts of the upper die.

  • Patent number: 4088245
Abstract: A system is described which is useful in dispensing and transferring a predetermined amount of a liquid such as a pesticide from a first container, typically a shipping container to a mixing zone. The control of the total amount of liquid dispensed is achieved by a tubular probe which is slidably mounted in a plug that can be sealed in an aperture of the top or bottom wall of the container. Preferably the probe bears indicia calibrated to indicate amounts of liquid proportional to the depth to which the probe is slid into the container. The device is employed in an system for transferring and metering a toxic liquid such as pesticide in a closed container system wherein the liquid is dispensed and metered from the shipping container and the container is thereafter rinsed free of any pesticide residue in a totally closed system free of any operator intervention.
