  • Publication number: 20230356561
Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling noise generated by a transport climate control system (TCCS) that provides climate control within a climate controlled space of a transport unit are disclosed. The methods and systems include a controller obtaining a noise tolerance, wherein the noise tolerance is a threshold noise level that includes at least a noise level generated by the TCCS; the controller monitoring the noise level generated by the TCCS; the controller comparing the noise tolerance with the noise level generated by the TCCS; upon the controller determining that the noise level generated by the TCCS is greater than the noise tolerance, the controller determining a target operating condition of the TCCS for matching the noise level generated by the TCCS with the noise tolerance; and the controller adjusting the TCCS to the target operating condition to adjust the noise level generated by the TCCS.

  • Patent number: 10865733
Abstract: A motor vehicle cylinder head is provided with a single flat planar surface in which are formed spaced apart integral inlet and outlet ports used for connecting respective coolant supply and returns to a coolant jacket defined within the cylinder head. The use of a common planar surface for the location of the inlet and outlet ports provides a more reliable sealing of the cylinder head to the respective coolant supply and returns.

  • Patent number: 10760458
Abstract: An engine assembly is provided. The engine assembly comprises a first housing defining a first oil gallery, a second housing defining a second oil gallery, and an alignment dowel configured to be received within the first and second housings to provide an alignment feature for locating first and second housings of an engine assembly relative to one another, wherein the alignment dowel comprises a groove formed in an outer surface of the dowel configured to receive oil from the first oil gallery, and wherein the dowel is configured to provide a flow channel for the received oil to flow to the second oil gallery. An alignment dowel for use in the engine assembly is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20160169133
Abstract: A fuel control system for a multiple fuel internal combustion engine may include at least one cylinder pressure sensor associated with each cylinder of the engine. A data collection module may be configured to receive real-time cylinder pressure measurements from each of the at least one cylinder pressure sensors and calculate one or more actual combustion parameter values from the real-time cylinder pressure measurements. A comparison module may be configured to receive the calculated one or more actual combustion parameter values from the data collection module and compare the calculated one or more actual combustion parameter values for each cylinder to reference combustion parameter values to determine any difference therebetween, wherein the reference combustion parameter values are the same for each of the cylinders.

  • Publication number: 20060144624
Abstract: A motorized toy vehicle or Wall Racer that is capable of operating on vertical and inverted horizontal surfaces such as walls and ceilings, while being manufacturable at reasonable cost and operable on batteries having sufficient lifetime as to be enjoyable. One or more battery-powered fans draw air from around all or defined portions of the periphery of the interior volume of the Wall Racer through a carefully-shaped duct, so that the air in the portion of the duct immediately adjacent the surface flows at high velocity and low pressure; the relatively greater pressure of the surrounding air urges the vehicle against the surface, allowing it to adhere to vertical surfaces, such as walls, or operated inverted on horizontal surfaces, such as ceilings.

  • Patent number: 6753956
Abstract: The present invention is a fully automated modified batch dyeing process that provides a process that reduces water consumption, reduces environmental pollution, and reduces the energy and chemical consumption of the conventional batch dyeing process through efficient reuse of spent dyebath. The invention provides a holding tank which stores the spent dyebath, and an analysis system which allows for the analysis of the dyebath in the holding tank so that the dyebath may be reconstituted and used in the batch dyeing process.
