  • Publication number: 20210128432
Abstract: Esterquat compositions are disclosed that comprise, based on the weight of the composition, 0% to about 70% by weight of a solvent, and about 30% to 100% by weight of a mixture comprising about 50% to about 80% by weight, based on the weight of the mixture, of esterquats and about 20% to about 50% by weight, based on the weight of the mixture, of mono- and diglycerides. The esterquat compositions can be prepared by the direct esterification of a natural oil with an alkanolamine, followed by quaternization in the presence of the solvent. The esterquat compositions can be formulated into hair care compositions that provide improved wet and dry combing properties.

  • Patent number: 10002477
Abstract: Electronic delivery of counterfeit-resistant documents exchangeable for value such as admission tickets, gift certificates, coupons, vouchers, etc. directly to the person who ordered the documents over an open communications network such as the Internet. A first party orders a document from a second party, and the second party electronically delivers the ordered, counterfeit-resistant document to a device designated by the first party. For example, the document may be electronically ordered using a PC, and a printer coupled to the PC may print the document. Alternatively, the electronic information may be provided to a fax, or the document ordered by telephone and electronically delivered to a PC or fax. The document may be made counterfeit resistant by assigning unique information to each document of a given type, e.g., admission tickets, and checking the uniqueness of a document prior to allowing it to be exchanged for value.

  • Publication number: 20090315339
Abstract: A door latching system according to the invention is substantially conventional save in having a circular face plate (and corresponding striker plate) rather than the conventional rectangular form. A counterbore 34 of diameter D2 and depth T is drilled in the stile 10 of the door to receive the (circular) face plate. A bore 32 of diameter D1 and length L is drilled in the stile 10, concentric with the counterbore 34, to accommodate the body of the latch. Thus the latch is fitted with little or no chisel work.

  • Patent number: 6871779
Abstract: A mailbox, particularly useful for rural mail delivery, comprises a housing having an inwardly opening access door for the depositing and withdrawal of mail, newspapers, and the like. The front wall of the housing comprises a bottom portion, two side edges, and an upper edge defining an opening through which mail and the like may be inserted and withdrawn. The top of the access door is hingedly connected to the housing at the upper part of the opening so that when closed the door covers the opening. When mail is inserted, the door is pushed upwardly and inwardly after which the door swings back to the closed position automatically under the force of gravity. The return swing to the closed position is aided by a weight attached to the inside of the door. The access door has a magnetic closure. The deposited mail rests on an open mesh panel having passages for water drainage. The mesh panel is positioned low enough to allow an accumulation of mail without interfering with the swing of the door.
