Abstract: A handle system for dental operatory lights of the type in which a light head is mounted to be moved in space and oriented in direction to focus and direct light through a lens includes a pair of mounting posts carried at opposite sides of the light, the posts being approximately mirror image duplicates of each other, and a pair of approximately identical interchangeable symmetrical handle members. Each handle member includes a mounting head portion and a grip portion. The mounting head has a transverse channel extending between its opposite sides, having a cross-sectional configuration adapted to register with either of the posts. The opposite sides of the mounting head are configured as a hilt. The grip is held at a canted orientation with respect to the lens. The mounting heads and posts carry intercooperable latching structure.

Abstract: A condensate separator includes a vertically oriented cylindrical body with an inlet at its bottom and an outlet at its top. The cross-section of the body is at least an order of magnitude larger than the cross-section of the inlet.

Abstract: A multi-beam surgical lighthead includes a central pod and multiple peripheral pods mounted on pivots and mechanically linked to provide synchronized adjustment of the convergence portion of the peripheral lighthead upon the axial beam of the central pod. This mechanical linkage is operated by handles mounted both axially and transverse the lighthead.

Abstract: A lighthead assembly includes a plurality (three) individual pods with spotlights pivotally mounted symmetrically around an adjustment post. The post carries cam surfaces linked to the pods for synchronous tilting of the pods by rotation of the post. The post may be rotated directly by an axial handle or remotely by means of mechanical linkage.

Abstract: An electrical contact assembly is structured within a mechanical pivot connection between a hollow post and a transverse hollow arm. Contact rings concentric with the post interact with brush contacts mounted within the arm.

Abstract: A replaceable focusing handle for the focusing shaft of a lighthead includes internal surfaces which register with reaction and locking surfaces of a drive post. A shield carried by the handle prevents inadvertent detachment of the handle.
