  • Patent number: 6602223
Abstract: A pre-filled syringe having an elastic-sliding valve to produce a hermetic closure inside a pre-filled syringe which keeps the liquid content to be injected totally isolated, in order to prohibit the liquid from coming in contact with the needle or the external air.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 24, 2001
Date of Patent: August 5, 2003
Inventors: Jaime Luis Szapiro, Saul Moreno, Leonardo Szames
  • Patent number: 6514231
Abstract: A single chamber disposable syringe containing a medicament includes a valve member positioned in the variable volume chamber adjacent to the medicament outlet for selectively communicating the variable volume chamber with the medicament outlet.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 12, 2000
Date of Patent: February 4, 2003
Inventors: Jaime Luis Szapiro, Leonardo Szames, Saul Moreno
  • Patent number: 6508792
Abstract: A discoid and elastic valve is designed to block up the neck of the syringe from inside, in order to close the communication between the syringe's internal main body, where the liquid is, and the needle which is connected in the syringe neck through its plugging cone.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 30, 2001
Date of Patent: January 21, 2003

  • Patent number: 6149628
Abstract: A syringe, of the type having two variable volume chambers inside the main cylindrical body, said chambers being separated by a displacing valve assembly, and being capable of housing components which should be mixed prior to injection. The novelty resides in the special conformation of parts and elements constituting said valve assembly, which comprises two cooperating, displacing elastomer portions; one of said portions being comprised by a peripheral, hollow cylindrical body bearing on the cylindrical wall of the main body, the other portion being an inner, solid cylindrical body slidingly bearing on the inner face of the front portion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 28, 1999
Date of Patent: November 21, 2000

  • Patent number: 5785683
Abstract: The invention relates to a pre-filled disposable syringe to be used in the administration of powdered drug diluted at the time of injection. The novelty resides in that the plunger head, along with an elastomer head, constitute a particular valve acting as a function of plunger displacements.

  • Patent number: 5643224
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety valve plug to be used in pre-filled syringes, of the kind comprising a cylindrical hollow body into which a coaxial plunger is displaced, projecting outwardly from one of the bases; while a conical portion is defined at the opposite base, the conical portion receiving the injection needle and being called "plugging cone", the valve plug being snug fit inside said "plugging cone" with its end head bearing on the mouth thereof, said valve plug comprising a substantially cylindrical solid body having a conical end portion and the other portion, defining its head, being cylindrical and of a cross section larger than the rest of the body; the cylindrical body having, following said conical end, two faceted faces extending adjacent the head.

  • Patent number: 5489267
Abstract: A double chamber disposable syringe includes a main hollow body having an inner diameter and engaged with an injection needle. A second hollow body is included having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the main body and having an open lower end and an upper end. The upper end defines a plugging end. A plunger projects through the open lower end of the second hollow body. The second hollow body is positioned between the main body and the plunger. A plug is engaged with the inner diameter of the main body and located adjacent the plugging end. The plug and the plugging end have conduits in substantial alignment wherein the conduit of the plug leads into the main body and the conduit of the plugging end leads into the second body. A cylindrical needle cover extends from the main body and is slidably engaged therewith for enclosing the needle. A sheet means utilized for separating the conduits of the plug and plugging end is positioned between the conduits of the plug and plugging end.
