  • Patent number: 10993791
Abstract: A “Super Floss” and expanding floss carrier which is held in a hand in a similar fashion to the way a toothbrush is held. It has a handle, which can hold extra “Super Floss” and expanding floss and act as a floss dispenser. It is wider in the center of the handle area and becomes narrow toward the ends of the handle. At the end of the floss carrier where it enters a mouth is a funnel, which is wider at the end closest to the handle and narrow toward the tip. The tip is curved so that it can point in between teeth to allow “Super Floss” and expanding floss to be directed between teeth. Fingers are used to direct floss from the dispenser portion of the floss carrier to the funnel portion of the carrier so that the “Super Floss and expanding floss can be then directed into a mouth.

  • Patent number: 8756280
Abstract: In highly regulated industries, all communications with social media may need to be archived and reviewed for compliance. Embodiments disclosed herein can optimize or otherwise significantly improve the post-review process. In one embodiment, a request submitted by a user to post to a social network is processed to ensure that the request is associated with pre-approved content. The response from the social network is processed to obtain a platform post identifier. In one embodiment, a lookup table is updated to reflect that the pre-approved content is associated with the platform post identifier. An associative table containing a set of communications with the social network may be processed to obtain platform post identifiers. Communications that have platform post identifiers associated with pre-approved content identifiers are tagged. In this way, only communications that are not tagged in the associative table may need to be reviewed.

  • Publication number: 20100157298
Abstract: A polarimetric imaging apparatus (2) and method for distinguishing objects of interest within a scene, said apparatus comprising means for resolving electromagnetic radiation received from the scene having a first substantially circular polarisation state into a first image and for resolving electromagnetic radiation received from the scene having a substantially circular polarisation state of opposite handedness to that of the first circular polarisation state into a second image so as to identify differences there-between, and means for providing an output indicative of the difference there-between, wherein the resolving means is arranged in use to resolve said electromagnetic radiation into said first and second images successively.

  • Publication number: 20060000605
Abstract: An apparatus and method to measure the position of a portion of a pump assembly within a well particularly for use in an oil or gas well and for downhole pumps driven by a drive shaft running from a surface motor. The apparatus comprises at least one measurement device which senses the position of a portion of a pump assembly downhole. The information can be used to position a rotor of the pump assembly at a position relative to a pump housing of the pump assembly to produce fluids from the well at an increased rate. Where two measurement devices are provided, they can count the number of revolutions of the drive shaft of the pump assembly at two spaced apart points. The strain or torsion within the drive shaft can then be calculated.

  • Publication number: 20050249613
Abstract: The present invention includes methods and apparatuses to pump fluids from a well bore using a hydraulically actuated reciprocating pump to pump fluids from a well to the surface. In one embodiment the weight of the pumped fluid is utilised to return the piston in one direction and preferably the pressure within the well is utilised to urge the piston in the opposite direction thus reducing the amount of force required to reciprocate the piston and consequently reducing the amount of power required to operate the pump.

  • Publication number: 20050191889
Abstract: The invention discloses an apparatus and method for securing together longitudinal members for use in a well. A common application of the invention is for securing an electric submergible pumping assembly to a bypass tubing. Embodiments of the invention resist rotation of the members but allow the members a degree of axial movement with respect to each other. Thus differential thermal expansion of the members does not result in tension between the connections. During assembly of the members before deployment in the well, the various components which can make up the members can be moved and aligned axially with respect to each other in order fit together. This simplifies assembly of the various components.
