Publication number: 20080002411Abstract: Functional yet decorative luminaires intended to create distinctive environments within specific areas of a space in which one or more luminaires are used, the luminaires of the invention visually tie to architectural elements of the space by providing a customizable glow of color surrounding a typically white light that acts to illuminate the space functionally. A downlighting luminaire configured according to the invention as one example is typically configured to utilize two separate reflectors, usually reflectors having concave reflective surfaces and being mounted concentrically within a housing, an inner reflector directing light centrally through an aperture of the luminaire with the light so directed typically being white light useful for illumination intended to facilitate usual activities within the space.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2006Publication date: January 3, 2008Inventors: Leslie King, Carl Gould, Chester Vier

Publication number: 20070101987Abstract: A combustion air and exhaust gas balancing system for use with a direct-vent heater appliance. The balancing system includes a combustion air valve in fluid communication with a combustion air duct and an exhaust gas valve in fluid communication with an exhaust gas duct. The combustion air valve is operatively coupled to the exhaust gas valve with an actuator. The combustion air and exhaust gas valves are shaped and sized so that a single operation of the actuator simultaneously adjusts the flow of combustion air into the firebox and the flow of exhaust gas out of the firebox and provide selected flame characteristics in the firebox. In one aspect of this embodiment, a movement of the actuator in a first direction simultaneously increases the flow of combustion air and exhaust gas, and a movement of the actuator shaft in a second direction simultaneously restricts the flow of combustion air and exhaust gas.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2006Publication date: May 10, 2007Applicant: Travis Industries, Inc.Inventors: Alan Atemboski, Leslie King

Publication number: 20050188984Abstract: A burner assembly that overcomes problems experienced in the prior art. One embodiment provides a burner assembly for burning a fuel gas from a gas source. The assembly has a burner body with a contoured upper surface and a burner pan with a gas inlet aperture therein. The burner body is connected to the burner pan. The burner body and burner pan are spaced apart to form a gas distribution chamber therebetween. The burner body has a plurality of gas apertures extending between the distribution chamber to an upper surface of the burner body. The gas apertures are positioned to allow the fuel gas to flow to selected areas on the burner body's upper surface for combustion to create a desired flame at selected locations relative to the upper surface. In one embodiment is a contoured upper surface with a plurality of peaks and valleys forming simulated coal or ember members.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2003Publication date: September 1, 2005Inventors: Alan Atemboski, Leslie King, Kurt Rumens

Patent number: 5379905Abstract: A combination tray is used for the transportation, storage, and gravity feed dispensing of beverage bottles. The tray includes flaps pivotally mounted on a top edge of each side wall for converting the tray between a storage and transportation configuration and a gravity feed dispensing configuration. When in the storage and transportation configuration, the flaps are generally perpendicular to the side walls and have a number of arcuate recesses to position and stabilize the bottles in the tray in an upright position. A bottom surface of each tray has a number of bottle cap receiving sockets. When the bottles are positioned with the arcuate recesses of the flaps, filled trays can be stacked one upon another so that the bottle caps of a subjacent tray are received within the sockets in the base of a superjacent tray thereby creating a stable stack of filled trays.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1993Date of Patent: January 10, 1995Assignee: L&P Property Management CompanyInventors: Rafael T.
