Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes managing bank accounts respectively associated with a plurality of account holders for a bank, including processing transactions for the bank accounts where a transaction includes at least credit card transactions and checking transactions and where the first user has full access to a first bank account. The method includes providing a second user restricted access to the first bank account, establishing a connection with the second user via the Internet, providing the second user, according to the restricted access, a user interface to display at least a portion of a plurality of budget categories and at least a portion of transactions associated with the first bank account, receiving an input from the second user to flag a transaction, and responsive to the input, updating the user interface to reflect the flag and notifying the first user of the flag.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for setting and tracking financial goals includes associating a user with a financial goal. The method also includes associating the user with a virtual community. The virtual community includes a number of users having similar financial profiles and similar financial goals. The method also includes tracking progress of the number of users of the virtual community towards their respective financial goals and providing to the user via a user interface a comparison of the user's progress towards the user's financial goal relative to the progress of the number of users of the virtual community towards their respective financial goals.

The instructions are configured to cause the server system to receive authentication information from a client device. The authentication information relates to a financial account of a user. The instructions are also configured to cause the server system to authenticate the user so as to associate the client device with the financial account of the user. The system also includes a financial notification circuit located on the client device. The financial notification circuit is configured to determine a location of the client device. The financial notification circuit is also configured to provide a notification on the client device alerting the client to not spend money at the location.

The instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive a non-confidential status of a financial account of a user from a separate mobile device. The financial account is associated with the personal financial notification device. The instructions also cause the processor to display the non-confidential status of the financial account without requiring user authentication.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of managing personal financial accounts includes retrieving account information associated with a financial account of a user. The account information includes a plurality of transactions and no more than three budget categories. The method also includes providing a user interface to display graphical representations of at least a portion of the plurality of transactions and at least a portion of the budget categories. In addition, the method includes receiving a first input from the user categorizing one of the transactions into one or more of the plurality of budget categories. Further, the method includes updating the user interface to reflect the categorization of the transaction.
