  • Patent number: 7922074
Abstract: A system and method for matching lids to cartons includes a carton feed conveyor having a plurality of cartons carried at individual flight positions defined along the conveyor, with each of the cartons having a mark applied thereto indicating a type of lid to be applied to the respective carton. A reader is operatively disposed relative to the carton feed conveyor to read the marks. A lid feed conveyor has a plurality of individual flight positions defined thereon, with each flight position on the carton feed conveyor having an assigned flight position on the lid feed conveyor. A lid placer station is supplied with different types of lids from respective separate lid magazines and is disposed along the lid feed conveyor.

  • Patent number: 7543423
Abstract: A system and process for packaging sheet materials is disclosed. In particular, the system and process of the present invention is configured to receive clips of a sheet material and to load the clips into a dispenser. During the process, the clips can be folded and loaded into vertical buckets that are positioned over a stream of moving dispensers. A vertical pushing device then pushes the clip from the vertical buckets down into the dispensers. In this manner, the dispensers are loaded from the top. Since the dispensers are loaded from the top, the system is capable of placing clips of a material into dispensers having a complex configuration, such as dispensers having curved side walls.

  • Publication number: 20090057329
Abstract: A dispenser system for dispensing a clip of stack sheets of a web material includes an upright carton body with a clip of the stacked sheets carried within the carton body. A first lid is non-removably attached to the carton body such that the first lid cannot be removed from the carton body without permanent deformation of the first lid or the carton body. The first lid includes a sacrificial separation portion configured to allow a user to separate at least a section of the first lid from the carton body after depletion of the initial clip. A replacement lid assembly includes lid structure and a replacement clip of stacked sheets of web material. The lid structure is attachable to the carton body or a remaining portion of the first lid.

  • Patent number: 6953422
Abstract: A system and method for selectively replacing one set of folding boards with another set of folding boards is provided. In one embodiment, a first set and a second set of folding boards are secured to carriage assemblies that are moveable in and out of a web-receiving position. • Patent number: 6740021
Abstract: Folding apparatus and systems are described for providing multi-folded products utilizing a folding board having at least one pressurized nip positioned proximate the folding operation. A folded product is directed through a first pressurized nip, comprising a roller and a first surface of a second folding board, positioned upstream of the folding operation and a second pressurized nip, comprising a roller and a second surface of the folding board, positioned downstream of the folding operation. Positioning pressurized nips proximate the folding operation improves the integrity of the folds created within the product and also creates distinct, uniformly oriented fold lines.

  • Patent number: 6685050
Abstract: An improved stacked sheet material assembly is disclosed. A carton or container for reliably releasing stacked tissues also is disclosed. The assembly includes at least a first web and a second web on the top of the assembly where dispensing is started. The first and second webs are shown using various efficient starter folding patterns, for releasing sheet material webs, or tissues, more reliably and consistently. Folding patterns preferably achieve dispensing of one tissue at a time, from the beginning of the carton to the end of the carton, with relative ease, no tissue tearing, and no package induced fallback.

  • Patent number: 6471041
Abstract: An attachment member for attaching to a roller chain tab includes a body member with a cavity defined in a bottom end thereof. This cavity has dimensions corresponding essentially to a tab provided on a roller chain link plate. The cavity is defined by a back wall, sides, and a front wall, and further includes a protuberance that extends from the back wall into the cavity towards the front wall. This protuberance has a shape so as to fit into a hole defined in the tabs provided on the roller chain link plates upon the body member being slid onto the tab.

  • Patent number: 4046124
Abstract: There is disclosed an ignition system for a multicylinder internal combustion engine which employs a conventional Kettering ignition coil and a pulse generator such as an induced voltage coil operating in cooperation with a magnetic circuit driven in timed relationship to the engine for generating a train of voltage pulses in synchronism wih the engine. The circuit of the invention includes a circuit across a source of electrical energy and the primary windings of the ignition coil with an electronic switch therein and with a high frequency pass filter in circuit between the induction coil and the electronic switch of the primary windings circuit to pass only the high frequency voltage pulses that are responsive to the inflection point of the cyclic voltage induced in the induction coil. The high pass filter is preferably a tuned RC circuit operative to effect pulse shaping of the train of induced voltage pulses to a train of sharp peak voltage pulses of minimal time and duration.
