  • Patent number: 5610186
Abstract: A safer, more effective, ectoparasite killer composition consisting essentially of an effective amount of a natural soap, a surfactant, and water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 1993
Date of Patent: March 11, 1997
    Inventor: Lester J. Workman
  • Patent number: 5017615
Abstract: The present invention relates to improved insecticidal compositions which are effective in eliminating or controlling ectoparasites, such as fleas, on domestic animals without detrimental side effects to the host. The compositions each comprise a low grade flea killer in conjuction with a surfactant and may optionally include a solvent or group of solvents to improve the miscibility of the composition.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 14, 1988
Date of Patent: May 21, 1991
    Inventor: Lester J. Workman
  • Patent number: 4447423
Abstract: Body lice are effectively yet safely controlled with a pediculicide composition composed of dioctyl sodium and/or calcium sulfosuccinate and benzyl salicylate in an alcohol medium, the components desirably present in an approximate ratio of 1:1:2, respectively.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 18, 1983
Date of Patent: May 8, 1984
    Inventor: Lester J. Workman
  • Patent number: 4374853
Abstract: Ectoparasites, such as fleas, on warm blooded animals, i.e. dogs and cats, are controlled by applying to the animal an insect killing composition composed essentially of an aqueous antiseptic liquid containing at least one compatible surface active agent and alcohol according to the disclosed invention. The insect controlling composition, which is typically a liquid, is applied to the animal's body while the fur is still dry. The composition is rubbed into the fur until lathering begins then it is washed thoroughly from the animal's body and dried. Fleas in dogs and cats are effectively controlled by this procedure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 1981
Date of Patent: February 22, 1983

  • Patent number: 4013854
Abstract: A coaxial switch including a switch body having a metallic walled recess therein and including one input (or output) coaxial line connection communicating with the recess and a plurality of output (or input) coaxial line connections also communicating with the recess. A switch operator including a connecting pin electrically coupled to the input coaxial connector is adapted to be switched between a plurality of positions with the connecting pin engaging one of the output coaxial connections at each position of the switch operator. At least one shielding member is provided which is mechanically operatively coupled to the switch operator and is moved by the switch operator to a position immediately adjacent and covering all of the output coaxial connections other than the one engaged by the connecting pin of the switch operator. Such a construction shields unused coaxial connections and prevents crosstalk.
