LeVone A. Blough has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 4447176
Abstract: Apparatus for facilitating the removal and replacement of a standard mortice cylinder or mortice thumbturn, the invention provides template structure which allows a mortice lock to be drilled in order to cut away the set screw or cylinder yoke holding the cylinder in the door or other structure in which the lock is installed, the lock then being removed by separate structure. The present template particularly allows drilling of a mortice lock or similar locking apparatus with minimal damage to the lock face and without damage to the keyway, the expensive keyway thus being reusable.

  • Patent number: 4446763
Abstract: Apparatus for removing and replacing a standard mortice cylinder or mortice thumbturn lock, the invention includes particular wrench structures for removing a mortice lock which has been drilled in order to cut away the set screw or cylinder yoke holding the cylinder in the door or other structures in which the lock is installed. The present wrench structures are also useful for removal of the mortice cylinder when the threads of the cylinder are crossed, when the cylinder is corroded, or when the screw head is broken. The present structures particularly allow removal and installation of mortice locks and similar locking apparatus with minimal damage to the lock face and without damage to the keyway, the expensive keyway thus being reuseable.

  • Patent number: 4379576
Abstract: Apparatus for securing sliding closures such as patio doors, the invention includes two cooperating structural elements carried one each by the respective sliding closures and which either allow or prevent relative movement between the closures. A first structural element carried by one of the closures is substantially disposed within the usual recess defined by the mating of a glass member with framing structure. A second structural element is pivotally mounted on an edge surface of framing structure of the other of the closures oppositely to and in alignment with the first structural element, the second structural element being pivoted into cooperating position relative to the first structural element to block relative sliding movement of the closures.

  • Patent number: 4309140
Abstract: A threaded bolt has two elongated shank parts, the adjoining part ends having mating, stepped shapes. The shank parts when held and rotated in unison can be threaded in a piece such as a nut, but when not so held will frictionally bind in the threads of the piece. A keyway is provided through the shank parts to receive a key for rotating the parts in unison, preventing relative rotational movement therebetween, so that the nut and shank parts may be freely threadingly rotated in the aforesaid piece.

  • Patent number: 4307983
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting away outer portions of the housing of a lock assembly in order to "pull" the lock assembly and gain entry into a safety deposit box or into an enclosure locked with a cam or similar lock, the invention allows entry into a locked enclosure with a minimum of damage to the lock. The apparatus comprises an annular guide member which fits about a safety deposit box lock or cam lock to position an annular cutting element relative to the lock so that a portion of the lock housing can be cut away to allow subsequent opening of the safety deposit box door. The annular cutting element extends through a central opening formed in the guide member and rotates within this opening, the depth of cut being controlled by a post member disposed internally of the cutting element.
