Abstract: A control method of a virtual memory is adapted for using in a computer. The control method includes the following steps. First, a plurality of application programs executed in the computer are monitored. Second, the application programs are compared with at least a predetermined program, respectively. Third, the virtual memory of a solid state disk (SSD) is controlled to be turned on or turned off according to a comparing result. Herein, the virtual memory of the SSD is controlled to be turned on or turned off to enhance both lifetime of the SSD and operation efficiency of the computer.

Abstract: A method for assisting in data calculation by using a display card: In the present method, input data stored in a system memory is transformed into texture data, which is then stored in a display memory of the display card. Then, a Graphic processing unit (GPU) of the display card is used for executing a texture calculation to the texture data, and a result of the texture calculation is stored in a display target of the display memory. Finally, the display target is outputted to the system memory as the output data. Accordingly, a part of calculation tasks of a central processing unit (CPU) can be given to the GPU of the display card when the CPU is in a high usage rate, so as to reduce a calculation burden of the CPU.

Abstract: An expansion card module is provided. The expansion card module is adapted for being assembled to a circuit board. The circuit board includes a connector and a fixing unit. The expansion card module is fixed between the connector and the fixing unit. The expansion card module includes an expansion card and a shielding plate. Abstract: A real time information display module and a method thereof are described. The real time information display module is coupled with a display device used for displaying TV signal. The real time information display module includes an information collection unit and an event detection unit. The information collection unit receives a setting instruction of an information category and collects share information corresponding to the information category according to a setting instruction. The event detecting module detects a TV event and an information event corresponding to the TV signal and the share information, respectively. When the TV event and information event exist at the same time, the real time information display module transmits a notification instruction to the display device. As a result, the display device retrieves and outputs the share information from the information collection module.

Abstract: A method for dynamically adjusting the brightness of an image is provided. In the method, a plurality of first pixel values of pixels in a captured display image are converted to a plurality of first brightness values when an application program is executed with a full screen picture. Then, the size and the distribution of the first brightness values are adjusted to obtain a plurality of second brightness values. Afterward, the second brightness values are converted to a plurality of second pixel values with which the pixels of the display image and displayed on the screen are overwritten. Therefore, the brightness of each display image can be dynamically adjusted, which is convenient.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for selecting a television channel are disclosed. In the method, a receiving unit is used to scan analog television signals and digital television signals to obtain analog television channels and digital television channels. Then, these television channels are integrated into a set of channel list. Afterward, a corresponding filter unit is established according to the selected television channel, and the related hardware is driven to receive the corresponding television signals according to the filter unit. Abstract: A device, a system and a method for remotely processing multimedia stream are disclosed. In the present invention, an instant communicating module is used for establishing a communication interface between a remote device and a stream operating device. An operating function for the multimedia stream is executed according to an operating command given by the remote device. Furthermore, a virtual capturing unit is used for converting the format of the multimedia stream into a specific streaming format supported by the instant communicating module. Finally, the processed multimedia stream is output to the remote device via the instant communicating module. Therefore, the present invention not only realizes the ideal of remotely receiving multimedia stream, but also provides various operating functions for multimedia stream, such that users may enjoy the pleasure of viewing or listening multimedia stream remotely at their will via instant communicating module.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing multimedia stream and a method for transmitting multimedia stream are provided. In the present invention, a virtual capturing unit is used as a medium between a plurality of multimedia stream sources and multimedia stream destinations. The format of the multimedia stream is converted to a specific streaming format such as a video capturing source format and an audio capturing source format. The converted multimedia stream is then outputted to multimedia stream destination. Therefore, the variety of multimedia stream that the multimedia stream destination can use is increased. In addition, based on the configuration of the present invention, the program of the multimedia stream source and multimedia stream destination can be developed independently, so that the complexity of development is reduced.
