  • Publication number: 20120102692
Abstract: An improved diving flipper's adjustable foot strap with a conveniently located handle which allows the diver to quickly pull the stretchable strap whereby he or she move the strap away from the back of his or her foot in one fluid motion. The handle also allows, in one fluid motion, the diver to pull the strap back on to his foot thereby securing his foot into the foot pocket. Methods will show the type of strap material that is used to achieve the objective. Methods will show how the material aids in strap removal and strap fastening. Methods will show why straps need to have adjustments. Methods will show how flippers are adjusted via the raised notches. Methods will show how and why fins are fastened and the level of difficulty to remove a fastened-on flipper without a handle. Methods will show how a handle aids in removing the strap. Methods will show how a handle aids in putting on the strap.

  • Patent number: 7434274
Abstract: A panoramic-view diving mask with self-sealing, non-glued, removable front lenses and side lenses integrally formed in the frame body of the mask. The lenses are self-sealed by an assembly process in which a layer of elastic gasket medium is applied or attached to either one or both beveled contacting edges of the frontal and side lenses, respectively. The lenses are assembled by pressing an assembly ring against the frontal lens and side lens, forcing compression against the elastic gasket medium at the contacting edges of the two lenses and securing the front lenses to the side lenses that are integrally formed with the frame body of the mask. The result is a watertight seal, achieved without adhesives, at the contacting edges of the front and side lenses. This process reduces storage space, packaging size and transporting costs during mass production.

  • Patent number: 7172278
Abstract: The present invention is a near-sighted lens of a wide-vision diving mirror, wherein contracted latching pieces at the upper, lower, and inner sides of a front lens of a wide-vision diving mirror are latched into the latching slots of lens frames of a mask; two assembling sections are formed by cutting the other side of the front lens, and one side of the side lens, respectively. As there is no frame edge interfering with the vision in combing the front and side lens into a mirror via their assembling sections, a wide-vision and replaceable near-sighted diving mirror can be formed.

  • Patent number: 7125115
Abstract: A panoramic-view diving mask with self-sealing, non-glued, removable watertight lenses. The lenses are self-sealed by an assembly process in which a layer of elastic gasket medium is applied or attached to either one or both beveled contacting edges of the frontal and side lenses, with the non-contacting edges having a lip so as to provide an enhanced seal between the lens and the frame. The lenses are assembled by pressing an assembly ring against the frontal lens and side lens simultaneously, forcing compression against the elastic gasket medium at the contacting edges of the two lenses and securing both lenses to the mask frame. The result is a watertight seal, achieved without adhesives, at the contacting edges of the front and side lenses. This process reduces storage space, packaging size and transporting costs during mass production.

  • Patent number: 6921165
Abstract: This watertight lens assembly structure provides panoramic-viewing for a diving mask without having the lenses glued together. The lenses are instead self-sealing, due to an assembly process in which, as the preferred embodiment indicates, at least one frontal lens and at least one side lens are attached to, via a layer of elastic gasket medium, either one or both surfaces of the contacting edges of the frontal and side lenses and a lens assembly ring presses against the frontal lens and side lens simultaneously, forcing compression against the elastic gasket medium at the contacting edges of the two lenses and securing both lenses to the mask frame. The result is a watertight seal, achieved without adhesives, at the contacting edges of the front and side lenses. This process reduces storage space, packaging size and transporting costs during mass production.

  • Patent number: 6820615
Abstract: A mask tightening strap, whereby a tightening device of a conventional diving face mask or swimming goggles is configured to comprise a protective sleeve attached to an inner side of a tightening strap. A fastening strap is configured on one end of the protective sleeve close to a frame of the diving mask. A hollow out portion is defined by a side of the fastening strap, and thereby enables a retaining ring of a breathing tube to clasp onto a strap in the hollow out portion. The protective sleeve can thus realize complete separation of the retaining ring from skin of a diver, and thus not only makes wearing of the face mask more comfortable, but also averting hypersusceptibility skin reactions from occurring or scratching of the skin of the diver.
