  • Publication number: 20240182849
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and microfluidic devices for successfully co-encapsulating two or more cells in a high-throughput, high efficiency manner. Cells are organized into two or more ordered streams flowing through separate microchannels of the microfluidic device. Cells in ordered streams are sufficiently spaced such that at a junction of the microfluidic device, single droplets are generated that include exactly one cell from the first ordered stream of cells and at least one cell from the second ordered stream of cells. Single droplets including two or more cells are useful for performing assays (e.g., high throughput cell-cell interaction assays).

  • Publication number: 20240152321
Abstract: A floating point pre-alignment structure for computing-in-memory applications includes a time domain exponent computing block and an input mantissa pre-align block. The time domain exponent computing block is configured to compute a plurality of original input exponents and a plurality of original weight exponents to generate a plurality of flags. Each of the flags is determined by adding one of the original input exponents and one of the original weight exponents. The input mantissa pre-align block is configured to receive a plurality of original input mantissas and shift the original input mantissas according to the flags to generate a plurality of weighted input mantissas, and sparsity of the weighted input mantissas is greater than sparsity of the original input mantissas. Each of the flags has a negative correlation with a sum of the one of the original input exponents and the one of the original weight exponents.

  • Patent number: 10218367
Abstract: A frequency synthesizing device includes a voltage-controlled oscillator receiving an adjusting signal and generating an output signal according to the adjusting signal. A feedback frequency divider having a plurality of divisor values receives the output signal and generates a feedback signal after performing frequency dividing. An automatic frequency calibration circuit of the frequency synthesizing device includes a first frequency divider receiving a reference frequency, and a second frequency divider receiving the feedback signal. A comparator of the automatic frequency calibration circuit receives and compares outputs from the first frequency divider and the second frequency divider in a predetermined period to generate a comparing result.
