    Abstract: Techniques for enhanced linguistic transformation are disclosed. For example, a method of linguistic transformation includes the steps of providing at least one input to a plurality of modules, wherein at least one module has a different configuration than at least another module, obtaining at least one output from each of at least a subset of the plurality of modules, and generating a set of distinct outputs. The input and the output include linguistic representations and at least a portion of the output is a result of applying one or more linguistic transformations to at least a portion of the input. Techniques for displaying a plurality of results so as to emphasize component-level differences are also disclosed.

A plurality of sets of paralinguistic attribute values is obtained from a plurality of input signals. Each set of the plurality of sets of paralinguistic attribute values is extracted from a corresponding input signal of the plurality of input signals via a corresponding classifier of a plurality of classifiers. A final set of paralinguistic attribute values is generated for the plurality of input signals from the plurality of sets of paralinguistic attribute values. Performance of at least one of a speech recognition module, a translation module and a text-to-speech module of the speech-to-speech translation system is modified in accordance with the final set of paralinguistic attribute values for the plurality of input signals.

The G-MS is configured to: receive an authentication trigger message from the host and send the authentication trigger message to the authentication server through the Eth-CS. The authentication server is configured to: receive the authentication trigger message that the G-MS sends through the Eth-CS, and authenticate the host. A G-MS includes: a receiving unit, configured to receive an authentication trigger message from the host; and a sending unit, configured to send the authentication trigger message received by the receiving unit to the authentication server through the Eth-CS.

A peak picking formula was then employed. A weighing function was then applied to the power spectrum. The harmonics weighted power spectrum underwent mel-scaled band-pass filtering, and the log-energy of the filter's output was discrete cosine transformed to produce cepstral coefficients. A within-filter cubic-root amplitude compression was applied to reduce amplitude variation without compromise of the gain invariance properties.

    Abstract: A method for a terminal to join a multicast broadcast service (MBS) in a wireless network and a wireless communication system are provided, so as to enable a terminal to successfully join an MBS and receive MBS content. The method and the system relate to a wireless communication field. A terminal obtains MBS parameters that include a first ID indicating an air interface connection and a second ID indicating MBS content from a network, so that the terminal can receive the MBS content indicated by the second ID from the air interface connection indicated by the first ID after receiving the MBS parameters and thus successfully join the MBS. The terminal may initiate an MBS join process by sending an MBS join request message, so as to obtain the MBS parameters and join the required MBS. The network may actively initiate the MBS join process to send the MBS parameters to the terminal and invite the terminal to join the MBS.

In an embodiment, an MBS Proxy creates the necessary messages with synchronization rules embedded therein. In another embodiment, the MBS Proxy provides the necessary information to the base station and the base station creates the messages, including the synchronization rules. In yet another embodiment, the base station receives raw IP packet information and synchronization information.
