Abstract: A relevance model is used to process an inventory of updates for a member of an on-line social network in order to select a subset of updates for presentation to the member. One of the features used as input to the relevance model is viewer affinity. The viewer affinity indicates preference of a member for a particular type or source of information and is determined using the estimated probability of the member clicking on the impression of an update and also based on a correction variable. The correction variable is generated based on information regarding previously-observed interactions of the member with the updates.

Abstract: An on-line social network system includes a ranker to processes an inventory of news feed updates for a member and select more relevant updates for presentation to the member. The ranker is trained using training data that includes personalized engagement probability for an update. The personalized engagement probability values are calculated in real time and for a particular update with respect to member features that appear in member profiles maintained by the on-line social network system.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that recommend one or more electronic presentations to a user based on one or more factors. These factors may include contextual information, behavioral information, profile information, or combinations of the foregoing. Contextual information may include content and/or features extracted from a given electronic presentation. Abstract: A news feed system provided with an on-line social network system determines that a news feed is to be constructed for a viewer. The news feed system accesses the viewer's profile and other information associated with the viewer, accesses an inventory of activities that have been identified as potentially of interest to the viewer, and calculates relevance score for each item inventory of activities using the combined coefficients methodology. The activities are then arranged for presentation to the viewer via a news feed web page, using respective calculated relevance scores.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods, systems, and computer-readable media for the fault detection and identification in an aircraft that may occur in real time during a flight, or any time the aircraft is operating. For example, a controller may receive and calculate various parameter values at various times during an aircraft flight, and compare those values to baseline values in order to determine if a fault has occurred. Additionally, the controller may identify a fault that has occurred by comparing a calculated fault signature value with a fault signature database comprising fault signatures and their associated faults.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose a traffic offloading method and apparatus. The method includes: calculating, by a first network node, a first packet loss rate of a first forwarding tunnel in a preset period; when the first packet loss rate is higher than a first preset threshold, reducing a rated bandwidth of the first forwarding tunnel by a first preset bandwidth, so as to obtain a first available bandwidth; and when traffic forwarded over the first forwarding tunnel exceeds the first available bandwidth, offloading excess to-be-forwarded traffic to the second data link for forwarding. Because the first available bandwidth is less than an original available bandwidth of the first forwarding tunnel, the to-be-forwarded traffic exceeds the first available bandwidth at an earlier time, traffic is offloaded by the first network node in advance, and a serious packet loss is less likely to occur before traffic offloading.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method of identifying malicious websites. The method includes: filtering a target website using a local website-filtering list; if the target website is not on the local website-filtering list, filtering the target website using a server website-filtering list. The present disclosure also discloses, based on the above-described method, a system for identifying malicious websites. By using the disclosed malicious website identifying method and system, the number of times needed to access a network to identify malicious websites can be reduced effectively. That is, the number of times that the identification calculation is performed by a network server can be reduced and, thus, increasing the speed of the identification process and reducing network traffic. As a result, the efficiency of the malicious website identifying process can be improved.
