  • Publication number: 20240094464
Abstract: A semiconductor-on-insulator (SOI) structure and a method for forming the SOI structure. The method includes forming a first dielectric layer on a first semiconductor layer. A second semiconductor layer is formed over an etch stop layer. A cleaning solution is provided to a first surface of the first dielectric layer. The first dielectric layer is bonded under the second semiconductor layer in an environment having a substantially low pressure. An index guiding layer may be formed over the second semiconductor layer. A third semiconductor layer is formed over the second semiconductor layer. A distance between a top of the third semiconductor layer and a bottom of the second semiconductor layer varies between a maximum distance and a minimum distance. A planarization process is performed on the third semiconductor layer to reduce the maximum distance.

  • Patent number: 8092050
Abstract: A fluid-convection heat dissipation device includes at least one heat dissipation module, at least two baffles, and a heat dissipation fluid. The heat dissipation module forms at least one internal receiving space and has an outside surface to which at least one light emission element is attached. The baffles are arranged in the receiving space to divide the receiving space into a plurality of convection channels that are in fluid communication with each other. The heat dissipation fluid is received in the receiving space as a convection medium displaceable in a circulating path along the plurality of convection channels.

  • Patent number: 7677748
Abstract: Disclosed is a light guide device for a water spraying device. The light guide device includes a light guide block that is a light-transmitting block having a refractive index greater than one. The light guide block has a circumferential face in which a plurality of mounting holes is defined for receiving and retaining light-emitting elements. A plurality of through holes is defined through the light guide blocks and extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the mounting holes. Each through hole has a roughened inside surface. The through holes are in fluid communication with water discharge holes of the water spraying device so that water jets supplied from the water spraying device can flow through the through holes for discharging. The light-emitting elements emit light rays that transmit through the light guide block and get into the through holes and the water jets. The rays are subject to reflection inside the water jets to provide lighting or luminous effect to the water jets.

  • Patent number: 5121098
Abstract: A multi-function car door closure warning sensor includes a main module secured to a car door adjacent to an edge thereof, and an auxiliary module secured to the car body and adjacent with the main module, when the car door is in a closed position. A battery, a first soft magnetic pole piece with an attached normally closed magnetic switch, a buzzer, two sets of L.E.D.'s, and an L.E.D. control circuit are disposed within the main module. A permanent magnet with an atached second soft magnetic pole piece are disposed within the auxiliary module. Whereby, when the door is properly closed, the first and second soft magnetic pole pieces are aligned and separated by a small gap. The permanent magnet induces a magnetic field in the first pole piece which causes the magnetic switch to open. When the car door is not properly closed, no magnetic field is induced in the first pole piece causing the magnetic switch to close, activating the buzzer and L.E.D. control circuit, which causes the two sets of L.E.D.
