  • Patent number: 8986842
Abstract: The present invention concerns a color conversion film comprising at least one active layer, said layer comprising an organic fluorescent dye containing a fluorescent core, wherein said dye is substituted with at least one polymer segment. It also concerns its method of preparation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 24, 2011
Date of Patent: March 24, 2015
Assignee: Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL)

  • Patent number: 8350233
Abstract: The present invention has the objective to increase the light output yield of a light conversion foil in comparison to the impacting light. There is proposed to realize the following effects in the various layers of a conversion foil, individually or in combination, namely the isolation of the conversion layer (3) from the support (1) by a, preferably microporous and mesoporous, interlayer (2), and the incorporation of scattering centers (4) either into this interlayer, or into the conversion layer, or into both.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2009
Date of Patent: January 8, 2013
    Assignee: Ilford Imaging Switzerland GmbH
Inventors: Rolando Ferrini, Urs Fuerholz, Olivier Nicolet, Marc Pauchard, Juliette Perrenoud, Libero Zuppiroli

  • Patent number: 4586062
Abstract: Microcircuits composed of a plurality of alternating conducting and insulating regions are formed in a substrate of an organic quasi-unidimensional conductor such as .DELTA..sup.2,2 bi-4,5-dimethyl-1,3-diselenolylidene upon irradiation of the substrate with a precise beam of electrons having an energy of at least 1 keV, preferably at least 8 keV, which forms the insulating regions. When exposed to cryogenic temperatures the non-irradated conducting regions become super conducting. Using electron beam irradiations, sub-micronic resolution as low as 100 .ANG. can be achieved. Microcircuits having Josephson junctions and superconducting quantum interference devices are described.
