  • Publication number: 20190148003
Abstract: The present invention relates to method for assisting a user in generating an itemised medical report from at least one medical image. The at least one medical image is displayed in a display area of single computer display unit. In the same display area, a sub-region containing a checklist specific to the one or more images is displayed. Items from the checklist can be de-selected. This checklist comprises a list of selectable items, each item representing an organ, structure, or abnormality that has to be checked by the user. Linked to each item in the checklist is a default statement that is a pre-prepared statement indicative of the normality of the item. The default statement is not displayed by default as part of the checklist. The user can select an item from the checklist for providing comments by dictation thereon responsive to an observation in the radiological image.

  • Patent number: 9977958
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for assisting a user in determining a medical condition in a subject from one or more medical images by presenting the user with a list of questions, LOQ, about the subject that are to be answered with an affirmative indication (Y), a negative indication (N) or an unknown indication (X) by input by the user. In response to receiving an answer to one question, the method presents the user with a ranked list of conditions, LOC, and also with an updated LOQ wherein at least the answered question has been removed i.e. the LOQ iteratively collapses or reduces in length. An earlier step of selecting a foundation observation, FO, about the subject reduces the initial LOQ and the possible conditions.

  • Patent number: 8468032
Abstract: A system and method is described for building a community of clients and radiologists. The method and system bring clients i.e. persons or organisations requiring the analysis of radiographic images, together with radiologists i.e. persons or organisations qualified to undertake analyses of radiographic images. The clients and radiologists register their respective requirements and services with the system, the system matching a suitable client to a suitable radiologist. The method and system use an algorithm to match client and radiologist(s) most effectively. A open feedback facility in which the client indicates his satisfaction with the radiologist (e.g. quality of report, timeliness, cost), and in which the radiologist also indicates his satisfaction with the client (e.g. image quality, quality of associated data, timely payment) is implemented so the quality of service and client of a teleradiology community evolves and high standards are achieved.

  • Patent number: 8064663
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for evaluating at least one abnormality in one or more medical images of a subject comprising: (a) determining the location of each abnormality from pre-defined selection, (b) determining the pattern of each abnormality from pre-defined selection, (c) accessing a multidimensional database comprising data of patterns, locations, and conditions associated therewith, in which the database comprises data of each of patterns, locations, and conditions is comprised in separate dimension(s), and characteristic information for patterns, locations, and conditions is organized in the database into discrete categories, (d) extracting from the multidimensional database a list of conditions corresponding to the imaging data determined in steps (a) and (b), (e) providing an evaluation of abnormality using list obtained in step (d). The invention also relates to a database, computer program, system for navigating the database, a method for entering data into a database.
