  • Patent number: 7668810
Abstract: A data storage system which copies data from source data storage volumes to target data storage volumes restricts a write operation to at least one source data storage volume (FREEZE), to prevent the updating of a source while the data of a consistency group of interdependent data is being copied. Program logic selects a source data storage volume to which the restriction applies as a verification volume; and the program logic responds to a verification request to first employ the verification volume to verify that the restriction remains in place with respect to the verification volume, and to allow a reset of the restriction (THAW).

  • Publication number: 20050001722
Abstract: A source detector for use in a fuel dispensing station to make fuel filling impossible in the event of a fire, or the detection of an ignition source, or an open flame. The fuel dispensing station comprises at least one fuel dispenser and at least one source detector for generating a detection signal indicating an unwanted ignition source. Once the detection signal is generated, a control unit which receives the detection signal generates a control signal which is received by the fuel dispenser, wherein the fuel dispenser responds to the control signal by temporarily suspending fuel supply.

  • Patent number: 6633914
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products are provided for handling client requests for server application processing wherein a connection between a client and server is transferred to a servlet. A client request from a server is transferred to a servlet via a server thread. The server thread is then returned to the server, thereby leaving an open connection with the requesting client. The open client connection is then retrieved and maintained by the servlet. Upon receiving the transferred client request, the servlet processes the client request and then sends processing results directly to the client via the retrieved connection.
