  • Patent number: 8678651
Abstract: Disposable storage bags are disclosed having a first side wall, a second side wall and a bottom portion which forms the bag and having an open top portion for receiving and removing items to be stored such as snack foods or other material. Near the top opening of the bag is a closure mechanism for opening and closing the bag. The side walls of the bag are tapered inwardly from the top portion toward the bottom portion such that quillons are formed when the bag is filled with items such as snack food or other material. The bottom portion of the bag includes a gusset which, when the bag is filled with snack food or other material, expands and opens such that the bag may stand upright.

  • Publication number: 20080178948
Abstract: A leaky check valve for preventing sudden decompression while allowing the air to exit at a safe and slow rate. The valve comprises a hollow cylindrical connector typically equipped at either ends with a coupling means. This connector holds on the inside a) an annular valve seat in the shape of a truncated cone, oriented such that the truncated apex of the cone faces the inlet, and the inner surface of the cone faces the outlet. The inner surface of the valve seat is indented with at least one radial groove; b) a ball positioned within the cylindrical connector, between the annular seat and the outlet; and c) a ball restraint located between the ball and the outlet.

  • Patent number: 4458701
Abstract: Double brush mascara applicator tongs having a carrying case with a mascara reservoir incorporated therein. The double brush applicator tongs are of one-piece construction and made of resilient material such that the brush members may receive eyelashes therebetween. The natural resilience of the material keeps the brush-holding arms of the tongs apart while not in use. A user need only press the arms together in order to catch the eyelashes between the brushes so as to apply mascara or other make-up material to be applied. Mascara brush-on and eyelash curling may be effected through the novel advantages of the inventive device.
