    Abstract: A wastebasket useable with a flexible receptacle liner includes an insert. The insert includes a collar and a plurality of legs extending from the collar. When the insert is positioned inside the wastebasket, the ends of the legs opposite the collar are position between the closed lower end of the wastebasket and the upper rim of the wastebasket and the collar of the insert is positioned adjacent the upper rim of the wastebasket. The collar of the insert and the side wall of the wastebasket form a gap therebetween for accepting the open end of a flexible waste container liner.
