Patent number: 11998271Abstract: Methods and systems am disclosed in which an optical diagnosis of an eye's optical image quality is performed using a simulated retinal image. An objective measurement of a total wave aberration is obtained, and residual aberrations are computed by subtracting a sphero-cylindrical correction from the total wave aberration. The simulated retinal image is computed by computing a point-spread function from the residual aberrations and convolving the computed point-spread function with an acuity chart. The optical diagnosis includes at least one of: determining excess aberrations, ranking optics of the eye into optical grades, selecting the eye for high-definition eyeglasses, identifying amblyopia or macular diseases, or choosing an objective refraction for vision correction.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2018Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Inventors: Junzhong Liang, Ling Yu

Publication number: 20230118938Abstract: A breath detecting system and breath detecting mat thereof are disclosed. The breath detecting mat is placed under bed mattress and has a hollow board, a vibration sensor and a signal processing circuit. The vibration sensor and the signal processing circuit are mounted in the hollow board. The vibration sensor senses the micro-vibrations caused by the breathing of the person is lying on the bed mattress and outputs the breath sensing signal to the signal processing circuit. The signal processing circuit samples the sensing signal according to different moving average points to generate the fast-moving and slow-moving average signals. Since the first fast-moving and slow-moving average signals have many cross points, the signal processing circuit calculates each time difference between every two adjacent cross points. A present breath frequency is calculated according to the time differences. Therefore, the noises of the sensing signal are effectively removed.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2021Publication date: April 20, 2023Inventors: Che-Min LIN, Shih-Yun SHEN, Tzu-Ling LIANG, Meng-Ta CHIANG, Bo-Zong WU, Huan-Yun WU, Hsien-Ching WEI
