  • Patent number: 11873448
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a wellbore servicing fluid comprising a scale inhibitor, a surfactant, and an aqueous fluid comprising sulfate in an amount of from about 100 ppm to about 10,000 ppm based on the total weight of the aqueous fluid. The wellbore servicing fluid can be used as a fracturing fluid in a method of servicing a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation. The wellbore servicing fluid can mitigate the formation of scales, prevent water blockage, and increase hydrocarbon production.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 2021
Date of Patent: January 16, 2024
    Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.
Inventors: Zhiwei Yue, Andrew Bailey Slocum, Linping Ke, Chunli Li
  • Patent number: 11732180
Abstract: A method for treating a well penetrating a subterranean formation, comprises placing a treatment composition comprising polylactic acid into the well, wherein the treatment composition is in the form of pellets, a cylindrical rod, or both.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 30, 2022
Date of Patent: August 22, 2023
    Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.

  • Patent number: 11279869
Abstract: A method of servicing a wellbore includes introducing a fluid into a wellbore, the wellbore having particulate matter disposed therein and entraining at least a portion of the particulate matter within the fluid. The fluid includes a polymer having at least one hydrophobic monomer and at least one hydrophilic monomer. The fluid is also included within an analytical tool within a coiled tubing system for performing operations in a wellbore. The fluid is also included within a formation-tester tool.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 23, 2019
Date of Patent: March 22, 2022
    Assignee: HALLIBURTON ENERGY SERVICES, INC.
Inventors: Hong Sun, Janette Cortez Montalvo, Linping Ke, Syed Muhammad Farrukh Hamza
  • Patent number: 11236266
Abstract: Methods of treating a subterranean formation. A pad fluid is introduced into a wellbore penetrating the subterranean formation to create or enhance one or more fractures in the subterranean formation. A fracturing fluid is introduced into the wellbore. The fracturing fluid includes a polymer having a hydrophobic monomer and a hydrophilic monomer. The fracturing fluid further includes a proppant and a second aqueous base fluid. The fracturing fluid does not include a crosslinker or an oxidative breaker. The fracturing fluid is broken thereby settling the proppant in the fracture.

  • Publication number: 20180112126
Abstract: Methods including introducing a particulate-stabilized emulsion into a subterranean formation having a mineralogy profile, wherein the particulate-stabilized emulsion comprises: an external phase, an internal phase comprising a surfactant, and particulates at an interface between the internal phase and the external phase, thereby forming internal phase surfactant droplets surrounded with the particulates and suspended within the external phase, wherein at least a portion of the particulates are composed of a mineral-containing material selected to mimic at least a portion of the mineralogy profile of the subterranean formation; and destabilizing the particulate-stabilized emulsion to release the surfactant from the internal phase surfactant droplets.
