  • Publication number: 20240156195
Abstract: The present application provides a comfortable lightweight bullet-proof and stab-resistant suit and a preparation method thereof. A first aspect of the present application provides a comfortable lightweight bullet-proof and stab-resistant suit, including a sheath and a protection core sheet disposed in the sheath, and the protection core sheet includes a first protection layer, a second protection layer, a third protection layer and a buffer layer which are sequentially stacked together. The bullet-proof and stab-resistant suit provided in the present application has better response protection characteristics in the process of bullet penetration or knife tip stab, and the prepared aramid unidirectional cloth has low areal density, apparent flatness, no bubbles, and excellent softness, so that any bending within 180° can be realized.

  • Publication number: 20240155112
Abstract: Systems and methods for deep neural network (DNN)-based cross component prediction are provided. A method includes inputting a reconstructed luma block of an image or video into a DNN; and predicting, by the DNN, a reconstructed chroma block of the image or video based on the reconstructed luma block that is input. Luma and chroma reference information and side information may also be input into the DNN to predict the reconstructed chroma block. The various inputs may also be generated using processes such as downsampling and transformation.

  • Patent number: 6039894
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing activated, substantially monodisperse, phosphorescent particles and particles formed thereby. The method suspends substantially monodisperse, phosphor-precursor particles in a fluidizing gas and then introduces a reactive gas to contact the suspended phosphor-precursor particles. Heating the suspended phosphor-precursor particles to a reaction temperature then forms unactivated phosphorescent particles. In another embodiment, the phosphor-precursor particles may be heated to a reaction temperature where they decompose to form the unactivated phosphor particles. The unactivated phosphorescent particles suspended within the fluidizing gas are activated by heating the unactivated phosphorescent particles to an activation temperature forming activated, substantially monodisperse, phosphorescent particles.

  • Patent number: 5855678
Abstract: A fluidized-bed reactor for the chemical vapor deposition of a coating on a substrate surface is described. The reactor enables high rates of deposition and a highly homogeneous coating by modifying the boundary layer formed between the gasified reactive gas stream and the substrate. The boundary layer is minimized by the presence of an exhaust outlet placed in close proximity to the center of the surface of the substrate and/or the presence of a gas inlet capable of injecting a tangential stream of gas which results in a swirling radial flow of reactive gas. Methods of forming a metal coating on a surface of a substrate using the reactor are provided as well.
