Abstract: Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an insecticidal protein. In particular, the nucleic acid sequences are useful for preparing plants and microorganisms that possess insecticidal activity. Thus, transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, plant tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions are insecticidal nucleic acids and proteins of bacterial species. The sequences find use in the construction of expression vectors for subsequent transformation into organisms of interest including plants, as probes for the isolation of other homologous (or partially homologous) genes. The pesticidal proteins find use in controlling, inhibiting growth or killing Lepidopteran, Coleopteran, Dipteran, fungal, Hemipteran and nematode pest populations and for producing compositions with insecticidal activity.

Abstract: A method for processing a plurality of queries is provided according to embodiments of the present disclosure. In this method, based on a plurality of queries and an execution plan for the plurality of quires, a plurality of record identification (ID) numbers can be stored into a pool in a numerical order. Each of the plurality of record ID numbers can identify a data record in a database. Then, the execution plan can be performed to batch a plurality of data records corresponding to the plurality of record ID numbers in the database based on a distribution of the plurality of record ID numbers in the pool.

Abstract: Provided are antibodies that specifically bind to T-cell immunoglobulin domain and mucin domain 3 (Tim-3). The anti-Tim-3 antibodies can be used to treat, prevent or diagnose immune, cancerous, infectious diseases or other pathological disorders that may be modulated by Tim-3-mediated functions.

Abstract: For sewage sludge reduction, an apparatus includes a front-end auxiliary filter plate, a back-end auxiliary filter plate, and a plurality of filter plate modules disposed between the front-end auxiliary filter plate and the back-end auxiliary filter plate. Each filter plate module includes a middle main filter plate, a middle auxiliary filter plate, and a plurality of electromagnetic modules comprising an electromagnetic coil wound around an electromagnetic core. The middle main filter plate and the middle auxiliary filter plate are disposed at opposite sides of the electromagnetic modules. A plurality of microwave generators send microwaves through microwave acting channels to irradiate the sewage sludge. An electric current is applied to the electromagnetic coil, attracting the middle auxiliary filter plates and the main filter plates and applying pressure to the sewage sludge.

Abstract: Integrated circuits including copper pillar structures and methods for fabricating the same are disclosed. In one exemplary embodiment, an integrated circuit includes a last metal layer and a passivation layer disposed over the last metal layer, both the last metal and passivation layers being disposed over an integrated circuit active device on a semiconductor substrate. The integrated circuit further includes a copper pillar structure disposed partially within a first portion of the passivation layer and immediately over the last metal layer. Motion units of the input operation are recorded. Sampled input operation is obtained by sampling the input operation at a preset time interval. A membership degree of the input operation is calculated. When the membership degree of the input operation conforms to a preset unlocking threshold, the electronic device is unlocked.

The gravity sensor detects X acceleration values of an X-axis, Y acceleration values of a Y-axis, and Z acceleration values of a Z-axis in relation to the electronic device. The electronic device determines a first average acceleration value of X acceleration values, a second average acceleration value of Y acceleration values, and a third average acceleration value of Y acceleration values. When a current time of the electronic device matches an alarm time of an alarm clock, the electronic device detects whether a user of the electronic device is awakened by determining whether the first average acceleration value, or the second average acceleration value, or the third average acceleration value is greater than a predetermined value . If the user is not awakened, the electronic device activates the alarm clock again to awaken the user.
