  • Patent number: 7967264
Abstract: A U-shaped bracket having an adjustable width is telescopically inserted around a side rail of the ladder by pushing the bracket onto the side rail with the open end of the bracket receiving the side rail as the bracket is pushed onto the side rail. Side walls of the bracket have extended wall portions that stick out past the rear of the side rail. A paint can holder can be telescopically inserted through a set of aligned holes in the extended wall portions to couple the paint can holder to the side rail of the ladder. A paint roller pan holder can also be telescopically inserted through a set of aligned holes in the extended wall portion to couple the paint roller pan holder to the side rail of the ladder. The paint roller pan holder includes a pivot connection to allow the portion of the holder that supports a paint roller pan to be leveled relative to the horizontal.

  • Patent number: 6726580
Abstract: A thrown object having a body shaped at least partially like an American football includes a light stick carried thereon for illuminating the object as it is thrown through the air. The light stick can be carried in an interior bore passing at least partially through the body of the object. The body may be made at least partially from a material capable of transmitting light to allow the light produced by the light stick to be visible through the body. Alternatively, one or more light sticks can be attached to the body of the object in exterior grooves. The light sticks produce light using a chemical reaction after the light sticks are first snapped and shaken.

  • Patent number: 6726521
Abstract: An aerodynamic flying disk, i.e. such as a FRISBEE®, comprises a circular disk body having a circumferential rim. A groove is provided in the rim. A plurality of light sticks are located in various sections of the groove. The light sticks are bent and snapped to activate a chemical light producing reaction and after such activation may be placed into the sections of the groove. Thereafter, during the time the light sticks continue to glow, the flying disk when thrown and flown through the air will have an illuminated circumferential rim, enhancing the user's enjoyment in using and/or playing with the flying disk.

  • Patent number: 6450982
Abstract: A cast or bandage protector comprises a lightweight, plastic bag that is open at one end. The user can insert an arm or leg through the open end of the bag to protect a cast or bandage from getting wet. A cinch clip is looped around the open end of the bag and can be tightened to cinch the open end of the bag closed. The cinch clip comprises a cord having a first end fixed to a locking member attached to the bag. The other end of the cord passes through an opening in the locking member after the cord is first looped around the user's arm or leg. If the second end of the cord is pulled to cinch the cord tight, the cord may be locked in this cinched condition by pulling the cord down into a tapered slot in the locking member to grip and hold the cord. The second end of the cord can include a handle to allow the cord to be more easily gripped and pulled. The cord is preferably an elastic cord.

  • Patent number: 6130365
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of producing a novel male parent line and a female parent line of meat-type chickens that are complementary to each other genetically so that upon mating the males of the male parent line to the female of the female parent line, the day-old chicks may be auto-sexed by down color by unskilled labor. The male chicks will be yellow-white down color, and the female chicks will be of reddish or buff down color. They may be readily separated by sex at the hatchery, transported to different brooder houses, and grown out separately on differently formulated feeds by sex; and although the female chicks nay start with some red feathers, these feathers will "fade out" in color and become white at broiler age. The male chicks start out with white feathers and retain white feathers at broiler age. Thus, all broilers are marketed with white feathers, eliminating any possibility for dark pin feathers on the dressed, eviscerated carcasses.

  • Patent number: 5882320
Abstract: A cast or bandage protector comprises a lightweight, plastic bag having a rectangular shape that is open at one end. The user can insert an arm or leg through the open end of the bag to protect a cast or bandage from getting wet. A strap encircles the bag adjacent the open end thereof. The strap is also made of plastic and has a buckle at one end that is free relative to the bag to allow access to be had to the underside of the buckle. The other free end of the strap can be threaded through the buckle and cinched back on itself to tighten the strap, and hence the open end of the bag, around the arm or leg of the user. The free end of the strap is secured in place by an adhesive patch that is pressed against the strap or bag. The protector is disposed of after a single use by stripping the protector off the arm or leg and throwing it away.
