    Abstract: A black plate absorber divides the chamber of a solar collector into upper and lower spaces, both of which are provided with inlets and outlets for a heat exchange medium. Heat losses through the side walls are reduced by providing, between the chamber and the side walls, side conduits which have inlets and outlets for a heat exchange medium.
