    Abstract: The photovoltaic device comprises a photovoltaic cell (1) assembled with a substrate (2) by way of an assembly interface. The method comprises a step of injecting an electrical current through the photovoltaic cell and a step of acquiring a signal measuring the luminous radiation emitted by the photovoltaic cell (1), by electroluminescence, in response to the injected current. The injection current has a density higher than a preset assembly defect detection current threshold. A step of detecting at least one defect in the assembly interface on the basis of said acquired measuring signal is provided.
