    Abstract: A method may include injecting at an instant a reference signal at an injection point of the assembly, the reference signal having been obtained beforehand by injecting an initial signal at the injection point at an instant, by a measurement of the reflected signal resulting from this injection, and by the time reversal of the measured signal. The method may also include measuring a reflected signal resulting from the propagation of the signal in the assembly of at least one cable. The method may further include determining the aging of the assembly of at least one cable between the instant and the instant, the aging being deduced from the measurement of the reflected signal.
